Best Friends are Magic! for Digi Choosday

It's Tuesday, it's Tuesday! It's Digi Choosday!  This is turning into my favorite day of the week.  I am having so much fun with Polkadoodle images, papers, and embellishments!

This week, our Digi Choosday challenge theme is "Two Patterned Papers". The rules are to use 2, but I snuck in 3, printing my sentiment on a patterned paper, also.

This image is Polkadoodle's Serenity Stardust.  Isn't she beautiful?  She's available as an individual download or as part of the wonderful Serenity Fairy Wishes Digital Craft Download.  All the papers, and the wonderful sentiment are from the same Serenity Fairy Wishes Collection.

The Pop out card can be found in the Silhouette Design Store.  Here's another angle of it.

The flowers, from Wild Orchid Crafts, were purchased at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

You can still join the All About Men challenge for another week.  The Two Patterned Papers challenge will run for 2 weeks.  Please join us!  And, don't forget to check out the code, available for 24 hours only, on the Digi Choosday site.  Great discounts every week!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Whoopsie Daisy Challenge -- Make It Girlie
Stamp and Create -- For the Girls
MarkerPop - ATG with Copic Markers
Cutie Pie Challenge -- must be cute
D.L. art -- August Linky party
Crafting from the Heart -- ATG

It's Never Too Late -- GD for Digi Choosday

I'm super excited to be guest designing today for Digi Choosday, part of the Polkadoodles family.  I want to thank Anjie, Nikki, and the whole team for this wonderful opportunity!

This week, the theme at Digi Choosday is Embellish It.  Since I'm more of a CAS gal, I had to work this a bit.  When to stop, when you're adding embellishments?  Isn't that the question?

This Polkadoodle's image is called, appropriately, Violin Girl. She is a digital download, available immediately (ah, I love that!)
The designer papers for this card are also from Polkadoodles.  They are Trumpet/Music Theme Craft digital download.

I colored Violin Girl with Copic markers.  I cut the Center easel card out on my Silhouette, and mounted the Trumpet/Music theme papers to the card base.  The image is cut out with a Lawn Fawn stitched circle cutting die, and a Lifestyle Crafts circle die.

The "Never too late" sentiment on this card, also from Polkadoodles, is a freebie. Since I returned to playing the violin after quitting in the 7th grade, waiting over 25 years to start again, this quote seemed perfect for my card.

The roses on this card are from Wild Orchid Crafts, purchased through Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The twine is from Timeless Twine

I hope you join us this week at Digi Choosday for the 'Embellish It' challenge.  There's also a discount code good for 24 hours on Polkadoodle products, so take advantage and do some shopping!  There's also great prizes to be won! I'll be back next week for another Digi Choosday guest design appearance.  I am sooooo excited!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
D.L. Art -- August Linky Party
Sister Act Card Challenge -- ATG
Word Art Wednesday -- ATG
Creatalicious Challenges -- more than one fold
Polkadoodles -- More than one fold

Piano Girl -- for Inspiration Destination

I am posting today for Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog.  It somehow seems fitting that the image I'm using is a little version of myself, a glimpse of me that many in the craft world don't know about.

This precious image is from Polkadoodles.  Isn't she sweet?  The digi is called "Piano Girl".

I actually play piano for a living (well, that and many other things.  I am a music therapist).  This image takes me back to piano recitals and childhood.  I loved playing on that grand piano at my teacher's house!  It was so close to heaven for me.

I colored Piano Girl with Copic markers.  Ever tried to make a black piano look shiny?  It was quite a challenge!
The music background paper and the note embellishments are from Echo Park -- the Melody of Life Collection.  The floral embellishments are from Wild Orchid Crafts, found at Really Reasonable Ribbon. The Purple Passion crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM

Please join us this week at Inspiration Destination for our Always Anything Goes challenge.  I'd love to see what you make!

*****Please note this post has been previously published on the new blog. I am in the process of switching everything back. Thank you for your patience.*****
