Tis the Season for New Releases -- for Oddball Art

It's December 1, which means there are new releases in the Oddball Art's Etsy Store. I'm also part of the newly formed Oddball Art New Release design team, so you'll see creations from me every 1st and 15th of the month.

Today, there are 8 (yes eight!) new releases found in the Etsy Store.  You'll see fantastic creations of all 8 digis over on the Oddball Art blog

Here's what I created for today's new release:

This first card uses image #271 -- Mr Sweets, the Fox.  It is one stamp, that I chose to separate into 2 distinct images.  I used Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils on the fox image, and fuzzy cut him.  The ornaments were colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment, papers, and fibers are from Close To My Heart.  The step card was cut out using a Sizzix die.   The shape behind the fox was cut with a Spellbinders die and embossed with a Close To My Heart embossing folder.

This second card, image #274 -- Tilly and Sprite - LOVE to be Reindeer, was mostly colored with Copic markers.   For the moon, I found a circle die (Spellbinders) the same size as the circle to use for a mask.  I then covered my colored Tilly and Sprite with a piece of scrap paper so I didn't get ink on them.  Using Tim Holtz Distress inks, I sponged the inside of the circle (the moon), until I got the color and shading I wanted.

The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company.

The rest of the card was created using Lifestyle Crafts circle dies in various sizes.  Designer paper is from October Afternoon.  Sequins are from JilliBean Soup.

If you need (and you know you do!) any of today's new releases (or anything else in the Oddball Art Co. Store, please use discount code DTJULIE10 for 10% off of anything!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Snowball Fight! for Oddball Art Co.

It's time for a bit of mid-challenge inspiration over on the Oddball Art challenge blog.  And, if you missed the blog hop in honor of team mate Angie's birthday, you might want to hop along with that, and try to win the awesome prize!  It started yesterday.  You'll find the start of it on the Oddball Art blog here.

The current challenge theme is 'Layer it Up'.  We want to see lots of layers - paper, ribbon, die cuts -- how ever you interpret it.

I used image #263 on this card - Tia, the Ice Queen.  I colored Tia with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils on  Carta Bella Kraft paper.

I layered up the designer papers.  They are Echo Park -- Winter Park, 12x12 papers.  The snowflake die cut has been in my collection for quite some time, and I no longer remember who made it.

I hope you can join us at Oddball Art Challenge blog for our 'Layer it UP' challenge.  You have until Dec. 14 to enter.  LOTS of time!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

I colored image 261 - Eddy Elf, with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils.  I haven't done a lot of skin tones or hair colors with colored pencils yet, but I like this hair combo.  I hope I can remember it in the future!

Seriously? A Big Day for Oddball Art and Whimsy Stamps

It's a big day! Oddball Art Company has a few new releases at Whimsy Stamps today.  I got the privilege to be able to work with one of the very fun new stamps! This is part of the Lizzy Love Collection
This is Alex and her Happy Tacky Christmas Sweater, found at Whimsy Stamps. I colored Alex with Copic markers.   I'm not so sure she likes that tacky Christmas sweater she's wearing, but she sure does look cute!

The base of the card was created with various washi tapes.  I used a Craftin' Desert Diva's die, cut several times, to back the Alex rubber stamp with. There's some UmWow Studio chipboard, decorated with Stickles, on this card, too.

Check out the rest of the new Lizzy Love Collection New Releases at Whimsy Stamps here.  Then, check out the other creations by the design team on the Oddball Art Company Blog.  And, of course, there's tons of fun and wonderful projects to be found at the Oddball Art Stamps Facebook Group.

Happy Fall, Friend -- for Oddball Art

It's time for a little challenge reminder over on the Oddball Art blog.  Our Fall is in the Air challenge goes on for another 2 weeks, so there's plenty of time to enter.

I have a friend who loves owls, so I made this card with her in mind:

This adorable owl is Image 58 in the Oddball Art Etsy Store.  I colored it with Copic markers, then fussy cut it.

The fall colored paper used on this card is a digi paper found at Pixel Scrapper.   The card was cut out on my Silhouette with a design found in the Silhouette Design Store. The sentiment is a stamp from Unity Stamp Company.

I hope you join our "Fall is in the Air" challenge at Oddball Art.  Check out the rest of the design team's inspiration, then join us for the fun and prizes!

Happy Fall -- for Oddball Art Co.

I'm pleased to announce that today is my first day on the Oddball Art Challenge blog team!  Woohoo!  Our challenge theme for the next month is -- Fall is in the air.  It certainly is, here in NW Wisconsin.  It's been getting close to freezing some nights.  It won't be long until our first frost. This lil' gal is snuggled in her sweater, ready to face the cooler weather:

This is Oddball Art digi, Big Eyed Girl - Wanda (image #9). She is colored with Copic markers, and cut out with a die from Paper Wishes.

The falling hearts designer paper behind the image was found on Pixel Scrapper.  It's called, "fall into autumn" by Janet Scott. All other papers and the sentiment are from Close To My Heart.  The scallop dies are from Lawn Fawn.  The leaf confetti is from Umwow Studio.

Best Witches -- a New Release at Oddball Art Co.

I'm pleased as punch to announce that I'm on the design team for Oddball Art.  It tickles me to no end to be able to say, "I'm an Oddball" because it is to true!  Besides that, Lizzy Loves' images bring out the quirky, fun side of me, and I like that!

Today is a new release day, and you can find several in the Etsy shop.  This great one, just in time for Halloween crafting, comes with the digi image and sentiment:

I colored Best Witches with Copic markers, then fussy cut the witch on her broom, her cat, AND her pet spider (can you see it?).  They are all taking off for a fun night of adventure, but that cat better hang on tight!

The witch hat shaped card SVG file can be found at The Cutting Cafe.  Papers are from Close To My Heart.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM-- it's part of the Spooky Bundle. I used a Creative Memories punch in 2 sizes to cut out the sentiment.

Need this great image and sentiment for yourself?  Been eyeing some other great Oddball Art images?  I've got a great way for you to get them at a discount!!  Use code DTJULIE10 at checkout for 10% off anything in the shop!  Not just digis!  Wow! Lizzie is so generous!

Life & Taking Chances - for Path of Positivity

It's time for some mid-month inspiration over on the Path of Positivity Challenge blog.  This month's theme is "opportunity".  To me, that means making the most of life, being adventurous, and taking a few chances.  That's what today's card is all about...

One of our sponsor's this month is Oddball Art Company.  This was my first ever Oddball Art image. What have I been waiting for?  This is Penelope #3 by Lizzy Love.  I colored her with Copic markers.  The sentiment was created with me in mind by Lisa Decosse of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. Thank you, Lisa!

Additional supplies:
Card design is cut out on my Cricut Explore.
Designer papers - Echo Park
Ribbon -- Close To My Heart.
Cutting dies -- Die-namics

Join us for our "opportunity" challenge at Path of Positivity Challenge.  It goes for the rest of the month.
