Strawberry Season -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

Hello, fellow crafters, and welcome to August!  A new month means a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group. The challenge starts today and runs all month.  It has the theme of 'Favorite time of the year'.  You must use an All Dressed Up Stamps image to enter.

I love strawberries and strawberry season!  It's a short season but we make the most of it here in NW WI where I live.  There was numerous places to pick your own berries, various strawberry stands to buy them by the bucket, and a good share of strawberry festivals install towns around here.  We love our berries!  In honoring this special time of year, I colored up and designed with the very cute image, Strawberry Season

I colored Strawberry Season with Copic markers, then using nesting oval dies by Hero arts to cut out the image and back her.  The designer strawberry papers are by AMB Illustrations.  Aren't they perfect for this card?  I decided to go 'old school' and add a little ribbon to this.  It's been so long, I forgot where my ribbon was! The 'sweet' sentiment is part of a new set I got from Concord & 9th.

I hope you can join us this month at All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group for our Favorite Time of Year challenge.  I'd love to see your creations!

Wishing You a Day of Calm -- for Di's Digistamps Challenges

Wake up. Take bath.  Read a book.  Stay calm.  Now, that's my idea of the perfect day!  I cannot remember the last time I did it, but I can always dream!

A new challenge starts today at Di's Digistamps Challenges.  The challenge will run for two weeks, and the theme is 'Animals acting like humans'. Many of us have stamps that fit that category, and Di has a store full of darling images of animals doing human-like things!  Take a look, pick something out, color it up, (or buy pre-colored) and join the challenge. I used Teacup Mouse for my challenge card:

I colored Teacup Mouse using both Olo and Copic markers.  That scene is so sweet, it makes me giggle! I found the sentiment in a set of Spellbinders clear stamps.  Lucky for me it had a backer to cut it out.  The paper behind the sentiment and the scalloped paper are from Pink & Main.  All the other card stock is from Taylored Expressions.  The bubble-like gems are from Concord & 9th.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks.  I would love to see your take on 'Animals acting like humans"!

Spoooky! For The Paper Shelter

Boo!  Read on to see one of the few Halloween cards I've made and posted this spooky season.  It's The Paper Shelter's challenge #614.  The theme is Halloween or Halloween colors.  It's starts today and runs for a week.

There are many wonder The Paper Shelter Halloween images in the TPS Store

I created my card this week with the super cute Halloween image, Spoooky!

I colored Spoooky! with Copic markers, then fussy cut the cutie out.  The purple background paper that looked like I spent hours making with various mixed media techniques is actually an 8x8 pice of designer paper from Crafter's Companion.  The die cut bats are from Crafter's Companion also.

I used stitched oval dies from The Scrappin' Cottage.  I cut the largest oval out of the card base (card stock from Taylored Expressions).  I found a matching orange color (card stock from Concord & Ninth) and made the lighter orange frame, then glued this to the oval card front.  Lastly, I taped a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of the purple paper to the inside of the base.  The card front was constructed.

The finishing touches included popping the Spoooky! image up on foam tape, taking it to the inside of the oval, die cutting and attaching the 3 bats, and adding foam tape to the sentiment (from Waffle Flower) and adding it to the lower left corner.

I hope you like my Spooky card and are inspired to enter the Halloween challenge at The Paper Shelter this week. Here's a graphic explaining the prizes.

Thanks for visiting my blog!

Snowman Hugs -- A NR at All Dressed Up Stamps

Hello, and thanks for stopping by my blog!  Today, I'm sharing a project using one of the new releases at All Dressed Up Stamps.  There are 3 new ones each month.  They, and all the others, are in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop.

My card today uses the darling Snowman Hugs image.  Maybe it's because I live in Wisconsin where snow is plentiful, But I love to color snow and snow shadows break out the blue violets!).  This Snowman Hugs digital stamp was so fun for me!

I colored Snowman Hugs with comic markers.  I used a die set called Christmas Cloche to simulate a snow globe for my image.  The dies are from Concord & Ninth.  The snowflake dies are by Lawn Fawn.  The silver and white glitter papers are from my stash.

I hope you enjoy Snowman Hugs, and I hope you check out the rest of the ADU design team creations. You will find them in the ADU FB group and on the blog.  There's still time to enter the November FB challenge.  The theme is Gems, Sparkle, and/or Shine.

I'd like to enter this in this challenge:

Springtime! For All Dressed Up Stamps

Hello!  Thanks for stopping by. It's April 1, so a new challenge starts today in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group -- no fooling! This month's theme is Die cuts &/or Punches.  You can have fun with that one! There are many, many darling images to choose from in the ADU Etsy Shop.

I am longing for spring, but Mother Nature is pulling an April Fool's joke on us today.  We have 8 fresh inches of snow, and it's still coming down.  My wish for warmer weather and warm sunshine compelled me to use the image For You on my card for this month's challenge.  Isn't she adorable?

Since the challenge theme is Die cuts/& or punches.  I used multiple die cuts on this card.  I die cut the For You image, then cut the 2 frames (all Lawn Fawn dies).  The cute pink flowers were on my desk left over from another card I made.  They are by Concord & Ninth.  I used some dew drops in the centers of the flowers.

I hope you can join us this month in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group!

It's Your Day - Everyday Purse --for Dies R Us Challenge Blog

I'm so pleased to be sharing that starting today, I am on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog team! My time on the DRU Inspiration team had come to an end, so I'm very happy to have been given a spot on the Dies R Us Challenge team. Challenges are on the 1st and 15th of every month, and they have themes.  You must use at least one metal die from a brand that Dies R Us sells in the Dies R Us Store. A $10 Gift voucher is given away each challenge, and top 3 are awarded.

The challenge that starts today, and runs for the next 2 weeks has the theme of "Anything Goes" (remember to use as least 1 die from a brand that Dies R Us sells).

I recently purchased this Concord & 9th Everyday Purse Die Set, and I am having sooooo much fun with it!  This is what I created for one of my best friends birthdays:

Isn't it darling?  I used designer papers from Crafter's Companion, and some leather looking papers from Tonic Studios.  The Silver Glimmer paper is also from Tonic Studios. The Concord & 9th Everyday Purse set has various options for clasps, tags, and closures.  The possibilities are really endless.

Here's a picture with a gift card in it to give you a better idea of the size of the Concord & 9th Everyday Purse Die Set.

Supplies from the Dies R Us Store used on this project:

We have some exciting news to share with you.  .Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for our "Anything Goes" themed Challenge.  I'd love to see your creations, and you could be the winner of the $10 gift certificate.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Festive Fridays-- Birthday
