Puppy Love -- for Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog

And, they call it, Puppy Love!   How many of you know that song? It was running through my head the whole time I created today's card.  Now, if you know the song, you'll be singing it to!!

Sing about the new challenge on Di's Designs Challenge Blog, too. They're worth singing over!  The theme that starts today is "use your stash".  I could be on this theme for the next 200 years and never run out of supplies in my craft room!

For the challenge this time, I was inspired by my new puppy (photos in a moment).  I used this digital stamp called Daisy and Bassett to create this card:

I colored Daisy and Bassett with Copic markers.  They are so smitten with each other, aren't they?  The stitched die and the label die are from a company no longer in business (part of the "from my stash theme for this challenge).  I cut out the paw print border with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store, using my Silhouette Cameo 3.   The designer heart paper is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It's from the Hearts in Love paper pack.

The sentiment is from an acrylic stamp set that I've had forever -- it's part of the "in my stash".  The paw print brad has also been in my stash for years.  I have lots of dog related crafting items I can get out for projects just like this one!

Here's two pictures of my new Golden Retriever.  He just came home with us on Sunday:

Here, we're leaving the breeder's home, with a 2 hour car ride ahead of us.  He seems to be saying, "Let's go to my forever home, I'm ready!"

Here he is today, after exploring the yard. He found a cool place to hang out, in the ferns.

I hope you can play along with the Di's Designs Challenge these 2 weeks for our "stash items" challenge.  You might make a dent in the stash (or not), and there are the cutest digis you can win!

Today, You Can! for Aloha Friday Challenges

It's time for some mid-challenge inspiration on the Aloha Friday Challenge Blog.  The theme is always "Anything Goes", but there is an optional twist.  This time, the twist is 'Friendly Faces'.  That's easy!

One of our sponsors for this challenge is Fabrika Fantasy, and I worked with a pre-colored image from them called Flower Elf to create this card:

Isn't she sweet?  She'd make anyone's day, don't you think?  I stamped the acrylic stamped sentiment from Power Poppy near the image so I could cut it all out with a stitched oval die.

Papers on this card are from We Are 3.  They are from the Magical Butterflies paper pack.

I hope you can join in the challenge at Aloha Friday Challenges.  There's still all week to get your entry (optional Friendly Faces) in. I'd love to see what you make, and we've got some of the best sponsors!

Dive In! for QKR Stampede

It's FRIDAY!  Yea!  That means it's time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog.  Yea again!  Challenges are always Anything Goes.  Yea once again!

I've been into turtles and frogs this month.  QKR Stampede has such great ones!  Today, I have a card featuring Diving In (Q-digi6903):

I colored Diving In with Copic markers.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I used dies from Die-namics, and some long retired papers from Close To My heart.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede for our Anything Goes challenge.  I'd love to see what you make, and we've got great digis you could win -- like this one!

Tropical Santa -- Photo Challenge at Catch the Bug

Oh no!  The week of Christmas in July Challenges is over at Catch the Bug Challenges.  I've had so much fun playing along all week!  Thanks to Jodie and the design team at Bugaboo Stamps for the great fun!  The final challenge today is a photo challenge.  I may have drifted a bit away from the photo, but I stuck with the tropical theme with this one.  Santa's in the sand, he's got a tropical drink, there's even an umbrella!

I used Tropical Santa - Drink on this card, and colored it with Copic markers.

Papers on this card are from the We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are from the Holly Berries Collection

Here's the photo inspiration I used:
Tropical, Christmas, red.  Close enough?  I hope so!  I love my Tropical Santa card!

This card is a wrap, this post is a wrap, and so it the "Baby, it's Cold Outside" week at Catch the Bug.  Thanks so much for the fun!

Oh, Deer! Color Challenge at Catch the Bug

It's day 6 already of Bugaboo Stamp's week-long Christmas in July festivities over at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  Today, there is a color challenge, and an extra challenge to use an older image.  I tried to do both with this:

This is Deer, and I colored it with Copic markers, then fussy cut it. The sentiment is computer generated.

Here's the color scheme I used:

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  I used 2 different collections.  One is the Collection, Loving Winter, and the other is this month's new release, At the Beach.

That's it for today's card.  One more tomorrow, a photo challenge, and the week of fun is done.  I have to thank Bugaboo Stamps for all the fun I've had this week!  It's been great already, and it's not done yet.

Santa Called -- Bugaboo Stamps Humorous Challenge

It's Wednesday already in this week's Bugaboo Stamp's "Baby It's Cold Outside" week of challenges over on the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  I am finally caught up, thanks to a sleeping puppy this morning.  Now, if I can only get this card blogged!

Today, the challenge was to make a humorous card.  Bugaboo Stamps has a great line of humorous stamps with Stella, so I headed there and found this one:

This digi is titled, Santa Called, and I think it is priceless.  I can think of a long line of people I can send this card to!!!!

I colored Santa Called with Copic markers.   I used a sketch to design this card, and it's the sketch from this week's challenge at The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch challenge

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  This is the Holly Berries Collection.

Here's the sketch I used from this week's Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge:

The puppy is stirring.  It's time to wrap this up!

Have a Magical Day for the Scrapbook Stamp Society

I'm on the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog today.  All month long we've been featuring mermaids, and I just love the one I colored up with my Copics today!

 This is Glitter & Sparkle:

I colored Glitter & Sparkle with Copic markers.  I think mermaids might have pink hair, don't you?
Sherri Baldy has many charming mermaid images, and you can find them here.

The mermaid designer paper is from the Silhouette design store.  I created the card base from  Spellbinders dies.  I computer generated the sentiment.

Thank you for joining me today!

Christmas Gift Bag -- Monday Catch the Bug

It's tough to juggle projects in-between puppy naps, but I got a couple things made today while Winter slept.  He's a good boy!

This Christmas gift bag is for the Catch the Bug Christmas in July week.  This is for the Monday gift or gift holder challenge.

Since it was for a gift bag, and I tend to need those in a hurry, I used a pre-colored image on this (I didn't know Bugaboo Stamps had them.  It was a very pleasant surprise!)  This Christmas Hedgie stamp came in both a B&W and pre-colored version with the same version.  Really nice!  I hope to sometime color it, too.

I created the gift bag with a die from Lawn Fawn.  You cut it twice, glue it together, and you have a cute size bag for a gift card, a pair of socks, some candy, etc.  The paper is from Close To My Heart.  The ribbons used to decorate it up are from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

That's it!  Puppy is starting to stir....

Happy Holidays -- Sketch Challenge at Catch the Bug

I've been trying to play along all week over at Catch The Bug for their Christmas in July week.  I was lucky enough to win a challenge there last week, and I'm using the prizes I won to participate this week.  It's been great fun!

Today's card is for Sunday's Sketch challenge.  My card uses Snowflake Snowman:

Here's the sketch I used:

I colored up Snowflake Snowman with Copic markers, then used a circle die to cut it out. I cut out a slightly larger circle die with black card stock.  I love how black makes images pop.  The designer papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are Loving Winter Digital Papers and Christmas Magic Digital papers.

Five months from today is Christmas.  I better get cranking on my cards!

Peppermint Mouse -- Outlawz Sketch, Song & Rhyme, Catch the Bug

This sweet mouse knows that Christmas is 5 months from tomorrow.  Five months!  I better get cranking on those handmade Christmas cards!  I've managed to get another made with this sweet digi from Bugaboo Stamps.  It's for their week-long Christmas in July challenge.  This is for Tuesday's bingo challenge (day 4):

The digi is called Christmas Mouse with Candy Cane and I colored her with Copic markers.
Here's the bingo game.  I followed either the middle line across (patterned paper, Bugaboo image, use 3 colors [blue, red, tam]) or diagonally: bling, Bugaboo image, sparkle.

I used this week's sketch from the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge on this card.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3.  They are the Christmas Magic papers.

Gotta get busy.  I've got a lot of cards to make before Christmas!

Bugaboo Stamps is having a week-long Christmas in July celebration, with challenges every day this week.  I'm going to try and participate with each day's challenge, hoping to get them all done by early Saturday morning.  However, with a new puppy in the house, and other DT responsibilities, it's proving to be a challenge.  I did, however, get a couple things made today.

For the first challenge, Baby it's Cold Outside, using this super cute penguin digi, Little Penguin Toque:

I colored Little Penguin Toque with Copic markers.  The sketch is from an old Close To My Heart instruction book I found, as is the acrylic stamp I used for the sentiment.

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  These are the Happy Christmas papers

Puppy may soon be waking up, and I have another couple blog posts to write.  On I go...

Snowman and Friends -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

Greetings, fellow stampers!  This month is flying by!  I can't believe there's just a little over a week left, and this month will be over.  Woah!

I colored up this cute Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez image to enter in to some Christmas in July challenges.  There seems to be quite a few of them out there, so hopefully I'll find them now that I've got it colored!

This is Snowman & Friends, colored with Copic markers:

Not only does this card use the adorable Snowman & Friends, it also used the newly released digital papers, Bright Christmas.  Aren't they great on this card?

I used a sketch I found on the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch challenge to make this card.  The snowflakes on stitched snowflake dies from Lawn Fawn.  I used some white glitter paper to cut them out.  The white glitter trim is from Close To My Heart.

I hope you check out the blog, Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez, where Patricia posts more of her designs and inspiration from her fantastic design team.  Check out the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook group, too, for even more inspiration, a monthly challenge, and a great group of gals to hang with!

Summer and Christmas Inspiration for Scribbles Designs

On the 23rd of every month, I post some inspiration on the Scribbles Designs Challenge blog.  That's today!  I have 2 cards on the blog today -- a Christmas card, and a thank you card.

I'll start with the thank you card:

I am blessed with many friends that are always doing sweet things for me, so I send a lot of thank you cards.  This card goes together very fast.  In fact, when I made this one, I made 4 of them, getting 4 of them out of the same 8 1/2 x 11 papers.  This card uses the following Scribbles Designs products: Frame 2,  Words 1Firefly Digital Paper , Flower 1 Digital Paper.  The papers are both freebies, so make sure you grab them!

You may have seen this next card before.  It was on my blog on July 1, for the 12 Months of Christmas Challenge blog, but since it uses Scribbles Designs products, it's on their blog today, so I'm posting it here, too.

This card uses Holiday Tree (a freebie) from Scribbles Designs

Fabulous Bird -- for All Dressed Up Stamps New Release

It's time to showcase the new releases at All Dressed Up Stamps.  They were showcased earlier in the month (on July 5), and again today.  I have a fabulous Summer Bird to share with you today.

I must admit, I was a bit intimidated coloring this up, but once I got going, it was very fun!

I colored Summer Bird with Copic markers.  Finding papers to match the bright colors took almost as long as the coloring!  These are retired papers from Close To My Heart.

I found the card design in the Silhouette Design Store, cutting it out on my Silhouette Cameo 3.  The sentiment is a die.

I hope you check out the other New Releases and the inspiration from the fantastic design team in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group and on the All Dressed Up blog. You'll find challenges to enter both places, with a few more days to participate.

I colored Going Fishing with Copic markers.

The sentiment and papers on this card are both from We Are 3 Digital Shop

You Arff the Best -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

Do you like mermaids?  How about merdogs?  I have both for you today!

This adorable digi image is from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  This digi is called Mermaid with Merdog. I've never seen a merdog, but then, I've never seen a mermaid either!  They sure look cute snuggling together, though, don't they?

I colored Mermaid with Merdog with Copic markers.  I found the sentiment on an old acrylic dog stamp set I have and it seemed to fit.  I created the background for the card using distress inks and a stencil.

For more mermaid digis, new releases, and other adorable acrylic stamps, digis, and printable papers, visit the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez store.  Check out Patricia's blog for great inspiration using the products just mentioned. Patriotic Thank You Pup -- Stella Says Sketch

It's another warm summer day.  I spent the morning running some errands, met a friend for lunch, then this afternoon I was in the craft room.  One of the cards I made was this thank you card for a friend.   I found this darling dog stamp at Bugaboo Stamps called Flower Puppy and he was calling my name to color up.  I just love Bugaboo Stamps!  They were the first digis I ever bought, quite a few years ago now, and I still love them.

Bugaboo Stamps has a Patriotic colors challenge going on right now, so I colored this Flower Puppy using red and blue to fit the theme.  I also used the sketch from this month's Stella Says Sketch challenge so I can enter it there too.  I just love it when I can double up on my challenges!

I colored the Flower Puppy digi with Copic markers.  The paw print card base was cut out on my Silhouette Came 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The bones and sentiment are stickers from Hot Off the Press.  The stitched dies are from Die-namics.  I intentionally kept embellishments to a minimum on this card for easy mailing purposes.

That's it for this card.  Off to find some challenges for it:

Thank You -- for DigiStamps4Joy

It's July 15th (really, already?), so that means it's time for some mid-month inspiration on the DigiStamps4Joy Challenge blog.  The themes are always anything goes with an optional twist.  This month's optional twist is summer or winter.  I went with the optional summer twist.  I love the flowers of summer.  I used DigiStamps4Joy image Pansy Corsage (JA22) to create this:

I colored Pansy Corsage with Copic markers, then fussy cut it.

Papers for this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  This is Nature Blends.

I used an SVG cutting file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons for the base of the card.  The oval die is from Die-namics.  The polka dot ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The sentiment is a sticker from Hot Off the Press.

I hope you can join us this month at DigiStamps4Joy for our Anything Goes with an optional "summer or winter" theme.  You still have 1/2 of July to link up!
