Stuck on You -- for Paper ala Mode Challenges

It's Saturday, and that means it's time for a new challenge at Paper ala Mode Challenges at The Outlawz. Challenges this year are sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop and run for 2 weeks.  This time, our theme is Succulents/Cactus/Flowers.

My parents spent every winter in Arizona after they retired.  I would visit them for a couple weeks, and I really learned to appreciate succulents.   They are beautiful!  So, I was excited when given a chance to create with this theme!

This slimline card uses 3 different Cactus Papers, Camille's Cactus printable, Camille's Cactus Flower printable, and Cactus Greetings sentiments (set of 6). I also used Pastel Burlap for the bright prink paper.

I hope you can join us the next 2 weeks for our Succulents/flower challenge at The Outlawz Paper ala Mode.  I'd love to see what you create!

Dogs in Shades -- An All Dressed Up Stamps New Release

Today is one of the days each month that new releases are featured for All Dressed Up Stamps.  There are 3 New Releases each month, and they (all all the wonderful digital images) can be found in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop.

Today, I had the absolute please of creating with Dogs in Shades.  It is so much fun!

I separated the Dogs in Shades images and used them separately.  After coloring them with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers, I fussy cut them.

The star cut and emboss folder is by Crafter's Companion.  The hardest part was getting the dogs sized to fit in the stars.  I computer generated the sentiment.

To see the other new releases, and what the other talented design team members created, please visit the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group and the All Dressed Up Stamps blog.  You'll be glad you did!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Dance like its your Birthday -- for The Paper Shelter

It's Wednesday, and that means there's a new challenge starting over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog. Challenges run for a week.  This week, the theme is "Party Time!!"  That's a fun one!  If you use a Paper Shelter image and you're the random winner of the challenge, you get a $30 gift certificate to The Paper Shelter Store.  How great is that?  Use any image, and get 3 images of your choice.  Either way, it's pretty awesome!

Party time!  I went with a birthday theme for my design team card for this challenge.  I thought this Go Go Girl was so darn cute!

I think I hear the Bee Gees all the way from the 80's!

I colored Go Go Girl with a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. The tags are from Close To My Heart.  The sentiment is computer generated. The papers are from Crafter's Companion.  The sequins are from Queen & Company.  I finished the card off with some Timeless Twine.

Spring Bookworm -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

Today is my day to post for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog!  I love Tuesdays!  The challenge that runs all month has the theme of Think Pink for Breast Cancer.  We want to see your pink Creations.

This week, the design team was given the added challenge of using handmade flowers on our project.  I used Spring Bookworm, and created some flowers to add:

I colored Spring Bookworm with a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.  I then fussy cut the image, die cut out a stitched circle (Crafter's Companion) and placed Spring Bookworm on it. The slimline die and the 'Friend' sentiment are from Diamond Press. The flowers are dies from Spellbinders that I colored with watercolor markers and layered.

I hope you can join our "Think Pink" Challenge.  You'll find another challenge and great inspiration in the CCK Facebook Group

Church Blessings -- For Dies R Us Challenges

Here it is, the 15th of September already!  That means it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges The challenge will run for 2 weeks, and they are always Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store

I was in need of a sympathy when I made the card for today's challenge, so I found a beautiful die by Crafter's Companion that I thought would work wonderfully for a sympathy card. This is the Church Blessings Create-a- Card die:

The sentiment is a digital stamp from Eureka stamps.  I printed it onto a Tutti Designs Cross Stitch Nesting Tag.  And that's it!  My sympathy card is complete.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for our Anything Goes Challenge at Dies R Us.  Just use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store

Dahlia -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and it's my day to post on the Ching Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.  I love any chance I can get to play with the gorgeous Ching-Chou Kuik images! We have a challenge underway, with the theme of Think Pink for Breast Cancer.

For today's pink creation, I used the gorgeous image, Dahlia. She's pretty in pink, I think:

I colored Dahlia with a combination of Spectrum Noir and Copic markers.  The ornate frame behind her is by Spellbinders.  The design team was given the added challenge of using buttons this week, and I thought this frame lended itself well to the 4 buttons.  The background paper and the pearlescent paper are both from Crafter's Companion.  The 'Faith' sentiment is from a company no longer in business.

I hope you can join us this month for our "Think Pink" Challenge.  There's another challenge in the CCK Facebook Group, and great inspiration there, and on the CCK Inspiration & Challenge Blog

It's Saturday, and that means it's time for a new challenge at Paper ala Mode challenges, over at The Outlawz.  Challenges this year are sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop, and have a theme.  This time, the theme is "Shades of Blue". One lucky participant will win a gift certificate to the We Are 3 Digital Shop. There are beautiful papers, sentiments, and printables to choose from!

Shades of blue -- my favorite color!  I enjoyed this challenge very much!

I used several digital papers from the Textured Scenes Collection.  The pretty deer amidst the trees is one of the Silhouette Scenes printables. There are 4 in the set. The sentiment is one of the Hugs Sentiments. There are 4 in the set.

I used Stitched Hillside dies by Lawn Fawn to create the layers of snow, and a frame from Lawn Fawn.  The mirror card is by Crafter's Companion.

Attitude is Everything -- for The Paper Shelter

It's Wednesday, and a new challenge starts every Wednesday over on The Paper Shelter Challenge blog. This week, our theme is "use ribbon,  string, &/or lace".  I love using twine (string) so I used that, plus a little ribbon on my DT card.

One of the newest releases in The Paper Shelter store is The Bricklayer.  I find her enchanting, and full of possibilities!

I colored The Bricklayer with a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. The sentiment was computer generated.

The brick wall die cut is a die from Crafter's Companion.  I thought it was perfect for this Bricklayer image.  I cut the image out and framed it with Spellbinders oval dies. I used some Timeless twine, and a bit of crinkle ribbon by D.L. Art

I hope you can join us this week at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog. Remember, the theme is: use ribbon, string, or lace.  If you're the random winner, and you use an image from The Paper Shelter, you'll win a $30 gift certificate to the store.  Otherwise, you'll get any 3 images of your choice!  Fun, fun, either way!

It's Tuesday, crafty friends.  It's the day I post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.  We have a new challenge underway, with the theme of Think Pink for Breast Cancer.  We want to see your pink Creations.

I used the beautiful image Heart of Faith for today's inspiration project.

I colored Heart of Faith with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers, then used an oval die by Spellbinders to cut it out. The card base was created on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The papers are from Crafter's Companion.  The crinkle ribbon is from D.L. Art.  The 'Hugs' sentiment is a die from Simon Says Stamp.

In Sympathy

It's Labor Day today, and I can't figure out where the summer has gone.  Kids are back in school, we're fast losing daylight, and days are much cooler.  There are signs of autumn everywhere.  Life moves so fast!

I needed 2 sympathy cards last week.  Hard week, for sure!  I reverted to two of my go-to digital images to make them with.  They're from Eureka Stamps. They go together quickly because all it takes is a bit of ink and some pretty papers:

This uses ES-digi34502 (Tree Losing Leaves) and ES-digi4505 In Sympathy.

Here's a 2nd card using the same inking technique:

I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks and a few sequins by Close To My Heart.  The designer papers are by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The first card uses the Howdy Autumn papers. The 2nd card uses the Paisley Texture papers

I'm entering these cards in the following challenges:
D.L. Art -- Sympathy
D.L. Art -- September Linky Party
Angie's Digital Stamps -- Use Fall colors
AUD Sentiments -- Sympathy

Dogs Never Lie About Love -- for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

It's the first Sunday of September, and that means it's time for a new challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.  Challenges are always Anything Goes, and the current challenge will run for 2 weeks before another great challenge starts.  Today's challenge is sponsored by the awesome Morgan's Artworld.  There are some really beautiful images in the Morgan's Artworld shop.  Check it out!

I had the total pleasure of working with the Dog Greyscale image.  I don't often use greyscale images, so it challenged me to branch out a bit, but here is what I created...

I colored Dog Greyscale with Copic markers.  The blue paw print paper is by We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is one of the Muddy Paws papers. The sentiment and paw print heart ephemera are by Nitwit Collections.  The small piece of ribbon is from my stash.

I hope you can join us these next 2 weeks at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends for our anything goes challenge.  I'd love to see what you create!

Let's Pawty! for Cute Card Thursday

It's the first Thursday of the month, and that means it's time for a new challenge at Cute Card Thursday. Challenges are Anything Goes, with an optional twist.  This month, the twist is Birthdays.  The challenge will run all month.

We have 3 sponsors each month, with one of those sponsors being Whimsy Stamps. I found this adorable stamp while perusing the vast selection of digital stamps...

This Dachshund Balloon is by Crissy Armstrong.  So cute, isn't it? I colored it with Copic markers. I created the rocking card to mount Dachschund Balloon on, because it seemed to need some movement.

I cut the rocking card out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store. the balloon paper and the cardstock is from Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment is from an acrylic stamp I got at Close To My Heart.

I hope you can join us this month at Cute Card Thursday.  You have all month for your anything goes projects, and Id love to see what you create!

Boo! Gnome -- for SheepSki Designs

It's challenge time at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog!  Yup, Sept. 1. Challenges last a month and have a theme.  This month, the theme is: Boys and Girls Come Out to Play.  You'll find many darling images that fit that theme in the SheepSki Designs Etsy Shop, but you can use any image you want (though we'd love to see a SheepSki Designs one, of course!)

Boys and girls come out to play, but how about gnomes? Here's my first Halloween card for 2021:

This adorable gnome is Trick or Treat, #228.  I colored it with Copic markers, then fussy cut it.

The papers on this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop. The orange paper is from the Cute Halloween Collection. The plaid is from the Autumn Flannel Collection. The glitter trim is from Close To My Heart, and so is the tag die.  All the other dies are from Spellbinders.

I hope you can join us this month for our Boys & Girls Come Out and Play challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog.   I'd love to see what you create!

Fairy Magic -- For All Dressed Up Stamps

It's September 1st, and there's a new challenge starting in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group.  The challenge will run the whole month of September, and it has a theme -- Winged things.  You must use an All Dressed Up Stamps image. You'll find lots of wonderful images that fit the Winger Things theme in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop.

Fairy Magic is an older image.  In fact, I think it was the first All Dressed Up image I ever purchased, and one of the first digital images I ever colored up.  I wish I could find that card now, but that was before I was even photographing and watermarking my cards.  I'd like to compare it to today's image.  Have I improved?  I sure hope so!  I've done a lot of coloring between then and now!

I colored Fairy Magic with a combination of Copic & Spectrum Noir markers.  The papers are from Crafter's Companion.  The stitched oval die is from Spellbinders.  The 2 banner dies are from Crafter's Companion.  The butterfly dies are by Sizzix.  I hope you like my darling Winged Thing!

I hope you find your own adorable Winged Thing and join in the challenge over on the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Challenge. I'd love to see what you create!

Floral Hello -- for Dies R Us Challenges

It's September 1st, somehow (I'm not sure how we've gotten to this point in the year), and it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges.  As always, challenges are Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store

Flowers are still blooming, and the monarchs are starting their migration south.  They are the inspiration behind today's card for the Dies R Us Challenge:

I started out with a sunshine yellow card base, then cut out a Tutti Designs Multi Floral Background panel.  My original plan had been to use some distress inks on it, but once I cut it in white, I really liked it just the way it was.  The sentiment is by Poppystamps.  It is the Hello Poe Script.  I like that all the letters are connected.  I makes it easy to position it on the project.  The butterfly is by Sizzix, but there are many butterflies that would work equally as well in the Dies R Us Store.

The challenge will run for the next 2 weeks, so I hope you can join us!  Remember, it's Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store. For our Canadian customers, there is the Didi Crafts Store, with fantastic products and reasonable shipping costs.
