Beach Babe! for Imagine That! Digistamp

Greetings, fellow crafters!  I hope you are enjoying these last days of summer.  And, I hope you are enjoying the weekend!

It's time for some mid-month inspiration at the Imagine That! Digistamp Creative Playground.  Challenges are Anything Goes.  If you use an Imagine That! Digistamp image, you get a free set!  This month's set is Flamingo Dress Up!  It is so much fun!  Here's what I created with it!

I colored the beach-themed flamingo from the Flamingo Dress Up set with Copic markers, then made her into a tag.  Doesn't she make you smile? Papers on this tag, also from Imagine That! Digi Stamp,  are the Tropical Breeze Digital Paper Pack
Flamingo Dress-Up (free this month!)

I'm Praying for You -- for QKR Stampede

It's Friday again!  These weeks keep on rolling, rolling, rolling!  When it's Friday, it's time for another challenge at QKR Stampede challenge blog. This week's optional theme is "shaped cards (anything but square or rectangle)", but you can always enter Anything Goes.   I love shaped cards!  They are one of my favorite things to make!  Combine them with a flower image -- my favorite thing to color, and I'm a very happy card maker!

This card uses 2 digi stamps from QKR Stampede's sister company, Eureka Stamps, Pansies (ES-digi9304), and I'm Praying for You (ES-digi13107).

I colored Pansies (ES-digi9304) with Copic markers.  The shaped card was created with a set of cutting dies from Stampendous.  They made the construction of this shaped card, including the sentiment (ES-digi13107) very easy.   The yellow background paper was found at Pixel Scrapper.

I hope you join the challenge this week at QKR Stampede.  I'd love to see your shaped card, and we've got great prizes you might win!

Hello Friend -- for Pickled Potpourri

Skunks, flowers, and a dragonfly.  This one digital stamp has it all! I found this super cute stamp set in the Pickled Potpourri Online Store, along with a wonderful sentiment, found in another great set.

The digital stamp set is Shy Skunks, colored with Copic markers.

Here's the image, when I got it colored:

I used some metallic gel pens on the dragonfly and decided not to color the skunk.  I though she was perfect just the way she was!

Here's the Shy Skunk made into a card, with the addition of one of the sentiments from the Forever Friends digital stamp set...

I hope you enjoyed today's Shy Skunk!

Swallowtail on Coneflower -- for Bloom Arts Stamps

Hello fellow crafters!  I have a gorgeous digi to share with you today from Bloom Arts Stamps.  It's titled simply, Swallowtail on Coneflower.

I colored up Swallowtail on Coneflower with Copic markers, then used a die from Top Dog dies to cut it out.  The background paper is from MHKDesigns.  The card base is an SVG file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

I'm not a huge violet person, but I really like how this turned out.  Maybe it's the orange and purple together that makes for a striking combination.

Bloom Arts Stamps has many great digital and clear stamps that are wonderful for whatever your favorite coloring medium it.  Make sure and check them out!

Back to School -- with Crafty Sentiments Designs

It's Tuesday, and there's a Back To School theme at the Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge blog this week.  It's perfect timing, and kids are getting ready for school just about everywhere!

I have created a card with Isobel, and she is Hitting the Books.  This is Crafty Sentiments Designs rubber stamp, Isobel - Hitting the Books.

I colored Crafty Sentiments Designs rubber stamp, Isobel - Hitting the Books with Copic markers.  It was so fun to color this design!

I found the designer paper of book covers at Pixel Scrapper.  The silver glimmer trim is from Close To My Heart, and so is the sentiment.  The tag that the sentiment is stamped on is from Paper  Wishes.

I hope you join in on the Back to School challenge this week at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog.  I'd love to see what you make!

Christmas Frames -- an MHKDesigns New Release

"We wish you a merry Christmas. We wish you a merry Christmas. We wish you a merry Christmas, and a happy new year!"   Are you singing yet?  At least humming to yourself?  Well, you should be because it's time for New Releases at MHKDesigns and that's reason to sing, shout, and jump up & down!

Today, the design team are showcasing "Christmas Frames."  It's a great vintage set with some traditional Christmas sentiments that a perfect for cards and tags.  I have one more card ready for the 2017 Christmas season!

I used Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils on the Christmas Frames digital stamp set, nicely tucking the sentiment inside the frame (included with the set).  I used soft greens to keep with the vintage feel.  Papers for this card, also from MHKDesigns, are the Simply Seasonal digital papers.

Summer Humor -- for QKR Stampede

Another Friday, another challenge -- at QKR Stampede Challenge blog!  I love our optional theme this week.  It's "Make it Humorous".  This is the absolutely perfect theme for QKR Stampede as they have so many cute, quirky stamps that work for this theme!  Take this Bikini Frog (Q-digi8204) for instance...

I colored Q-digi8204 Bikini Frog with Copic markers, then fussy cut it out.  I made the background by inking repeatedly a piece of wavy cut cardstock then moving it down, inking again, moving it down, inking again, repeat, all the way down the background paper.  The sentiment is computer generated.

I plan to send this to a very good friend who is having surgery on Monday, donating one of her kidneys to her brother.  I thought a little levity might go a long way under the circumstances.

I hope you can join us this week for our optional "make it humorous" challenge at QKR Stampede.  I'd love to see what you make!

Happy Holidays -- for The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

Another month, another Christmas card!  It's time for a new challenge at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  This month, the optional theme is 'Traditional Christmas Colors.'

Our guest sponsor this month is Kitten Scraps.  I had the fun of working with Christmas Balls Clipart.

The Christmas balls come in a .png version, so I could play with them and layer them the way I wanted.  I created this montage for the focal point of my card using the Christmas Balls Clipart set.  Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  I used 2 sets -- Glitterati II, and Cute Christmas.

I hope you can join us this month at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  You can link up any Christmas design, and I'd love to see what you make!

Find the Beauty in Small Things -- for MHKDesigns

It's August 1 (where has the summer gone?) and it's time for a new challenge at MHKDesigns.  Challenges run for a month, and if you use an MHKDesigns image, it's Anything Goes.  There's an inspiration board if you'd like to use it, or if you don't use an MHKDesigns image.

I made a tag for this month's challenge, using the colors of August's inspiration board:

I used the MHKDesigns digital stamp set, Beauty, on this tag. I colored the daisy image with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils.  The sentiment is also from the Beauty stamp set

Papers on this tag are also from MHKDesigns.  They are the Get Well Flowers Paper Pack

Here's the inspiration board for the MHKDesigns August challenge:

I hope you can join us this month for the MHKDesigns Challenge.  I'd love to see what you make!  This is also New Release month, so visit the MHKDesigns blog on August 5, 10, 15, 20, & 25 to see some great inspiration for the new releases.  You'll find the new releases, and all the great MHKDesigns, in the Etsy Shop.
