Forever Yours -- for Dies R Us Challenges

It's the 15th of the month, and I am hoping you had a lovely Valentine's Day.  I had to start the day at the dentist.  Not the most romantic way to get the day going, but it was nice to get my teeth cleaned.

It's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges. The theme is Valentines/Love.  Use a die sold in the Dies R Us Store, follow the theme, and you are all set to link up.

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary, and this was the card I made him for the occasion:

I did both some inking and some paper piecing on this Create-a-Card die from Crafter's Companion.  It's called Forever Yours. I inked the trees, fence, flowers, and hearts using Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I paper pieced both outfits. I tied the swing to the tree using some jute twine from May Arts. Although you can't see it in the picture, there is a piece of clear acetate that I used for the card front.  The scene is glued to it to give it stability.

I hope you join us these next 2 weeks at Dies R Us Challenges for our Valentines/Love challenge.  Valentine's Day may be over, but we can always send some love around.

Thanksgiving Treat Box -- For Paper ala Mode Challenges

It's Saturday, and there is a new challenge underway at The Outlawz Paper ala Mode.  The challenges all year have been sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  One lucky participant will win a gift certificate to the We Are 3 Shop! Great prize! This time, the theme is Give Thanks. Thanksgiving truly is the overlooked holiday, so I'm glad we are focusing on it.  I have much to be thankful for!

The design team was given some gorgeous products to use for today's inspiration!  Very fall-like in feel, and perfect for Thanksgiving!

I started with 2 of the Howdy Autumn papers and printed them back to back.  I used a Bigz die from Sizzix to cut out the box die.  Once I got that constructed, I started on the tag.  Again, I used 2 matching papers from Howdy Autumn, the basket from the Harvest Printables (there are 4 in the set) and a 'Thanks' sentiment from the Itty Bitty Sentiment Set. The tags are a set by Tonic Studios.  The twine is by May Arts.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for our 'Give Thanks' challenge!  I'd love to see your creations, and I'd also love to see you win a gift certificate to the We Are 3 Digital Shop

You're Doggone Amazing -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

August 1 -- and that means it's the start of a new challenge  in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group.  The challenge will run all month, and the theme is "Be Square". Easy peasy, right?  Grab your favorite All Dressed Up Stamps digi from the store, color it up, make it square, and join us!  You could win more incredible digis for the next challenge!

I have many favorite All Dressed Up Stamps images, and I'd be hard pressed to pick just one, but I think Play Day ranks right up there as one of those that makes me smile every time!

I colored Play Day with mostly Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, using just a few Copics.  I used a Spellbinders die to make the image a square.  I computer generated the sentiment and used another Spellbinders set to make the sentiment square.  The paw print paper is from AMB Illustrations.   The die cut paw print is from Cheery Lynn.  The twine is from my stash.

I hope you can join us this month for our 'Make it Square' challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group.  I'd love to see what you create!

Brighten the Darkest Day -- for Colour Crazy Challenge Blog

It's Friday, and that means a new challenge is starting today over on the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog. Every Friday, a new challenge begins.  They are always anything goes, as longs as your image is hand colored, using whatever medium you prefer.

Our sponsor this week is Fred She Said Designs. Perfect for spring, get well cards, sympathy cards, birthday cards, encouragement cards, ANY type of cards is this beautiful digi, African violets.  I used it to create this encouragement card:

I colored the African Violet image with Faber Castell color pencils on Kraft.  I really like the look.   The front stepper card is a die from Sizzix.

Papers and sentiment  are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The papers are from the Rainbow Skies Collection. The sentiment is one of sentiments in the Encouraging Words sentiment set.

A little twine  from May Arts finished off the card.

I hope you join us at Colour Crazy Challenge Blog for this week's challenge.  Every challenge runs for 2 weeks, so if you want to get in on the challenge with this week's wonderful sponsor, you have 2 weeks!

Happy -- Outlawz Sketch, Dragon's Lair Progressive Freebie

Ah, the weekend, and just a tad bit of free time to boot!  Yesterday was busy with errands and family commitments, but today I found enough time to color up a couple images and create cards with them.  One was for a DT project, but this one was just for fun!

I used this week's sketch from The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge, and the darling ballerina is this month's progressive freebie at the Dragon's Lair Facebook Group.  The designer papers and bottle cap embellishment are also from the Dragon's Lair.  They are being entered in a challenge, too.

I colored the darling ballerina with Copic markers.  I wouldn't normally make her leotard that color, but I wanted to match the papers.  As it turns out, I like it.  I think she's rather striking with her green leotard!  Happy, I would say!

The doily behind her is from Cheery Lynn.  All the papers and the 'Happy' bottle cap are from The Dragon's Lair Designs Etsy store, or the free download. The ribbon is by May Arts.

Just like this little ballerina, making this card made me very happy!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Christmas Ornaments -- for Digi Choosday

It's Tuesday, and Digi Choosday.  Today, we start the last Digi Choosday challenge before we take a bit of a holiday break.  This would be a good time to take advantage of the super duper discount code (say THAT 3 times fast!) and do a bit of shopping for digi products in the Polkadoodles store.  We'll all have more time for crafting after the holidays.  Won't we?  Please?

This time's theme is a favorite of many -- anything goes! We're ending the year with a bang!

I recently celebrated Christmas with my staff.  I made this same type of ornament for some of them several years ago, but I have some new staff now, and I wanted them to have one of my "signature" ornaments, too.  These were made entirely out of digi papers from the Polkadoodles store:

Most of the papers are from the Twiggy & Toots Festive Fun Collection, available in both Digital Download and CD.  One of the papers, left over from a former project, but matching perfectly, is from Work & Play 5 - Festive Hollybobs.   Again, this collection is available in both CD Rom and Digital Download.

Our Digi Choosday 'Christmas Decor' challenge is going on for another week, so please link up with us.  Then, link up with whatever your working on with the Anything Goes challenge.  Woot! Show off your makes in the Digi Choosday Facebook group, too!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
D.L. Art -- December Linky Party
Stars Stampz Challenge -- Christmas Creations
The Glory of Christmas -- ATG (as long as it's Christmas)
