Winter Birthday Wishes -- for The Outlawz Paper ala Mode

It's Saturday, and today starts a new challenge at The Outlawz Paper ala Mode Challenge.  All year, our challenges have been sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop. One lucky winner will get a gift certificate to the We Are 3 Shop! The theme for the current challenge is Winter.  It will run for a month. 

The design team was given some beautiful We Are 3 Digital Shop products to create with for this challenge! 

I used papers from Winter Serenity (love the watercolor look of these!), one of the printables from Wonderland (there are 4 printables in this set), and a sentiment from the Warm Wishes Sentiment Set.  How fun to have a winter birthday sentiment!!  This is going to my brother.  He has a January birthday. 

I used a set of dies from LDRS Creative to construct this card.

Elegant Christmas --for The Paper ala Mode Challenge

 It's Saturday, and it's time for another challenge for The Outlawz Paper ala Mode Challenges. All this year, our challenges have been sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  One lucky participant will win a gift certificate to the We Are 3 Shop! For the next 2 weeks, our theme is Christmas.  Now's the time to finish up those cards and other projects!

The design team was given some beautiful products to work with for today's inspiration.  They are very elegant. I made 2 very similar cards with the papers and printables...

I started by printing some papers from 2 collections -- Dreamy Creamy papers and Elegant Textures papers.  The pretty floral printable is Christmas Banners. There are 4 in the set, and the sentiment is part of the printable. 

I used dies and a sketch from Queen & Company.  Once I got all the layers die cut, it was simply a matter of assembling it.

 It's Saturday, and a new challenge is underway at Paper ala Mode Challenges. It all happens over at The Outlawz Challenges.  The challenge will run for 2 weeks, is sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop, and has the theme of Black & White. 

Bonnie has some beautiful floral printables in the We Are 3 Digital Shop that can either be colored, inked, or left as is.  For the sake of this Black & White challenge, I left the Floral Mums printable alone.  I have colored it up, and it's gorgeous!

I printed the Floral Mums printable on a 5x5 square, then used the flower shaped die to cut it out.  I used a slightly larger layer to back it with for some contrast. 

The 'Thank You' sentiment is from the All Occasion Sentiment Set.  I used the same set of flower shaped dies to cut it out, and several layers of designer paper to make a flower.  

The dotted papers on this card are from the Mostly Dots papers.

 It's Saturday, and we're starting a new challenge at The Paper ala Mode Challenge.  You'll find it all happening at The Outlawz Challenges, where there is a challenge every day of the week! The Paper ala Mode challenges run for 2 weeks and have a theme.  The theme for the next 2 weeks is 'Fur, Feathers, or Fins'.  Many of us are animal lovers, so I think this will be a popular  one! My birthday is in July, and last year for my birthday, Bonnie made myself and the design team a set of papers and printables called Muddy Paws.  I cannot tell you how much I've enjoyed them, using them many times on many projects!  The team and I used them again for today's inspiration on the 'Fur, Feathers, and Fins' theme.

I cut out the Muddy Paws printable in the shape of a doghouse (die by Crafter's Companion).  It cuts into the face of the card.  There are also several Muddy Paws papers used on this card.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthday Sentiment Set.

The dog shaped die cuts are by Cheery Lynn designs.

 It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at The Outlawz.  The Saturday Paper ala Mode Challenge, that is! Our challenges are always sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop. The theme for the next 2 weeks is Gift Bags.  Oh, I like this theme!  I always enjoy making gift bags and gift boxes!

Since my mother-in-law's birthday is next week, I took advantage of this challenge to make her a gift bag.  This bag is just the right size to hold a couple pieces of chocolate -- just the right amount for a lady who says she's watching calories, but secretly likes to munch (just like her daughter-in-law).

I cut this bag out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store. The designer paper on this bag is Watercolor Textures. I used 3 different designs from the set. The sentiment is from the For You Sentiment Set.

I cut the "For You" sentiment out on a tag by Spellbinders.  The butterfly is a die from Cheery Lynn.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Home - My Happy Place - for Paper ala Mode Challenges

 It's Saturday, and Saturdays mean it's time for a new challenge at The Outlawz.  The Saturday Paper ala Mode Challenge, that is! The challenges run for 2 weeks and have a theme.  This time the theme is "Home Sweet Home."  We always have the awesome sponsor, We Are 3 Digital Shop.

I used papers from the Bird's View Collection, a printable from the Home collection to make the birdhouse, and a sentiment from the Home Sentiments Set.

We have a pair of robins nesting on our porch right now.  They attempt it every year.  It's messy, but fun to watch when they are successful.  They were the inspiration behind this birdhouse card.

For the next 2 weeks, the theme at the Paper ala Mode challenge is 'Under the Sea'. Interpret that any way that you want!  I was looking for mermaids and seashells!

The cute mermaid is called Seaside Mermaid, and I colored her with Copic markers.  She also comes in a pre-colored version. The background paper is one of the Under the Sea papers, and the sentiment is part of the Mermaid Wishes Sentiments set.

Puppy Tail Treat Bag -- for PAM Challenge Blog

I love making treat boxes, great bags, treat purses, any kind of treat container.  When I see friends and family, I like to have a little something to give them.  It's just my "thing".  I also love dogs, and collect all things dog -- dog paper, dog stamps, dog embossing folders -- you get the idea!  Last year for my birthday, Bonnie, from We Are 3 Digital Shop designed dog themed papers and printables in my honor called Muddy Paws.  I used those today, along with some dog sentiments she designed.  I combined my love of dogs with my love of treat bags and made this:

Using the Muddy Paws papers, I cut the treat bag out on my Silhouette Cameo 3.  The sentiment is one of the Dog Sentiments. The cute stamp was a Christmas gift from Bonnie. It's by Nellie Snellen (Nellie's Choice) and is a clear acrylic stamp.

I Love Fall -- for The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode

 I do love Fall!  So, today's challenge over at the Outlawz Saturday Paper ala mode Challenge is perfect.  The theme is Woodland, and this time of year, that can mean only one thing to me -- Fall! However, it can be interpreted however you'd like it to.  It might be a great time to make some Christmas cards with trees on them.  That would fit the theme!

With the Woodland theme in mind, here's my card for the challenge:

  The mushroom images are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The mushrooms come in both black & white and pre-colored.  I used the black & white versions, coloring them with Spectrum Noir Triblend markers.

You Make Life Sweet -- for The Outlawz Paper ala Mode

It's Saturday, and every other Saturday, a new challenge begins at the Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode Challenge. The challenge that begins today has a theme of "Fruit", and it will last for 2 weeks.  I love fruit!  Apples, pineapples, watermelon, how about a strawberry cone?

Another Saturday, another challenge!  Every other Saturday, you'll find a new challenge with a new theme starting at The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode.  This week, we start a Nautical theme.  I love water, and all things nautical, so this is a great one!  Every challenge all year long is sponsored by Bonnie at We Are 3 Digital Shop.  One of my all-time favorite paper packs in her store is Nautical Love, so of course I used it on my card! 

Not only does this card use 3 papers from the Nautical Love collection, I also used one of the wonderful digital images in the shop -- Waddles Playtime. There is a pre-colored version, but this is the black & white version of Waddles Playtime, colored with Copic markers. I also used the Happiness Sentiments (set of 4).

Fall Colors Challenge -- at The Outlawz Paper ala Mode

It's Saturday, and every other Saturday, a new challenge starts at the Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode.  The theme for the next 2 weeks is Fall Colors.

It's hard to believe we're heading towards fall already isn't it? But here in the Northwoods, there are already signs...

Our sponsor at Paper ala Mode challenges all year long is We Are 3 Digital Shop.  We are so blessed!  The papers are the cute digital image are from the We Are 3 Digital Shop Etsy Shop. That cute bird is the Hearts and Home Digital image. I colored it with Copic markers, but it also comes in a pre-colored version.  The 2 fun papers I used here are part of the Thankful paper collection. 

I used the largest circle die I own.  I believe it's about a 6 inch circle, used my scoreboard to score it down the middle, and voila!  I had a rocking card.  I added the couple smaller circles and some colored leaves die cut from Crafter's Companion dies to complete the card.

It's a Celebration -- at The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode Challenges

Happy 4th of July, my American friends!  This is an Independence Day like no other one I can remember.  Normally my small town is bustling with tourists, a huge parade, a family party in the town park, craft fairs, vintage car shows, softball tournaments, etc, etc.  This year, it's all been cancelled due to Covid 19.  There are tourists around, but things are much, much quieter than they've ever been.  It's a mighty strange year. 

But we still have much to celebrate, right?  The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode has a challenge that starts today, and its' theme is about a certain type of celebration -- Birthdays!  we card makers love to make birthday cards, and can never have enough, so join us at The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode for the next 2 weeks.
