Sending Some Fairy Dust

It's Friday, and the Polkadoodle challenge blog is having a Tic Tac Toe challenge I thought I'd play along with.  I'm not on the team anymore, but still wanted to participate in the challenge. Here's the chart for easy reference:

I used the bottom line -- Wings, Tag, Flower -- on today's project:

The image, designer papers, and sentiment are all from the Serenity Fairy Wishes Collection (Digital Download) (CD) (individual image), found in the Polkadoodles Store.   I colored Serenity Fairy Kisses with Copic markers.

Dies to make this tag are from Paper Wishes and Craftin' Desert Divas.  Fibers and card stock are from Close To My Heart.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Friends like You... for Polkadoodles

It's Friday, and it's time for a a new challenge at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog.    Our theme this time is 'Lucky Green'.  Aha!  Perfect for the new, fun Polkadoodles Sticks and Bones Collection! Available in CD and Digital Download.

I thought a green dinosaur would make the perfect friendship card:

The papers, alphabet (spelling out 'Roar'), sentiment, and dinosaur are all from the Sticks & Bones collection.

I cut the card shape out on my Silhouette Cameo, from a design I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  I used a punch on the alphabets, and a die on the sentiment.  The heart is a Kraft sticker I found in my stash.   There's a bit of Timeless Twine to show off that dinosaur just a bit more.

I hope you can join in on our 'Lucky Green' challenge at Polkadoodle's Challenge Blog.  It will run for 2 weeks.  Please join our Polkadoodles Facebook group, too.  There's lots of fun and inspiration happening all the time!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

I used Cupid from the Work & Play 9 Digital Collection. It's also available in a CD.

I colored Cupid with Copic markers.  The designer papers and the sentiment tag are all part of the Work & Play 9 - Love & Kisses Digital Download.   The rest of the card was constructed using various dies.

Sprinkling Fairy Dust -- for Polkadoodles

After a bit of a break, it's time for the routine to resume at Polkadoodle's Challenge blog.   Our Anything Goes challenge continues for another week.  Here's my inspiration for the challenge:

I've been wanting to color up this image for a long time, and the Anything Goes Challenge gave me the perfect chance.  This is Octavia Moonfly, Washing Day.  You can get the full collection here in CD or digital download.  The designer paper and sentiment are from the same collection.  The card shape, also from Polkadoodles, is Elegant Card 3.

I colored Octavia Moonfly, Washing Day with Copic markers, then used a Spellbinders die to cut her out.  The 2 colors of crinkle ribbon are from 3 Girl JAM

Traditional Merry Christmas -- for Polkadoodles

It's Friday!  Hurray!  I've spent the week decorating the nursing home where I work.  I've seen all the tinsel, baubles, and glitter I need to see for quite some time now, so you won't see too much of it on this project for the Polkadoodle Challenge blog.  A new challenge starts today, and the theme is "Traditional Christmas".  Hey, that's a good theme!  I like that!

I used the Picknix 3 -- Nordic Winter Collection on this card.  It is available in digital download for instant gratification (yes!) or in CD.  The only other touches I added were a bit of shimmer tape and some glitter domes, both from Close To My Heart.

I hope you can join us the next 2 weeks for our Traditional Christmas Challenge at Polkadoodle Challenge blog.  Time to finish up those Christmas projects!

Season's Greetings Shades of White -- for Polkadoodles

It's Friday, and it's time for some mid--challenge inspiration on the Polkadoodle's challenge blog.   This time, the theme is white, with one other color.   Hmm.  I thought long and hard about this one, and here's what I decided on...

I started with a Kraft base, then used white with shades of brown.  I just HAD to use these two beautiful deer.  They are so sweet, they speak to me.  It's deer hunting season right now here in NW WI, and while I know we have more deer in this state than people, I still don't like hunting season.  This card is my tribute to all the deer out there.  You can get the image individually here.  The whole Frosted Winter Octavia Collection Digital Download can be found here.  If you're more patient than me, and want the CD, that link is here. The shaped card design I used on this is also from Polkadoodles.  This is Elegant Card 2 SVG cutting file.  The sentiment is a freebie, found in the Polkadoodles store

The crinkle ribbon on this card is from 3 Girl JAM.  The banner die is from La La Land crafts.

I hope you join us this coming week in our white plus one challenge.  It was a challenge for me, but a fun one.  Then, join our Facebook group, Polkadoodles Crafting, for even more inspiration!

Framed 'S' in Fall Colors

It's Friday, and I'm posting for Polkadoodle's Challenge blog, where a new challenge starts today.  For the next 2 weeks, show us your Autumn colors.

I tried some things I've never attempted before on today's project:

The 'S', from Polkadoodles, is one of the new coloring pages.  This is Adult Coloring Pages, Alphabet 1.  I colored it with Copic markers. The designer paper on the top layer of the frame is from the Rose Budd Craft Collection Download. It's available in CD, too.

The frame is an SVG cutting file from My Scrap Chick.  It took a few sheets of card stock, and a bunch of pop dots to construct it.

The butterfly is a die from Cheery Lynn.  The tie dye ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.   The bling is from Close To My Heart.

So, this was my first time using the new, awesome adult coloring pages from Polkadoodles, and the first time I've used these frames from My Scrap Chick.

Please join us the next 2 weeks for our Fall Colors challenge at Polkadoodles Challenge Blog.   I'd love to see what you make!

Best Friends are for Life!

It's Friday, and time for a bit of inspiration at the Polkadoodle's Challenge blog. This begins the second week of the "Add Sparkle, bling, or Glitter" challenge.

I used the adorable Work & Play 9 -- Love & Kisses Collection this week, creating an anniversary card for my husband.  I didn't want too much bling or glitter, so I used some glitter paper to back the image.

I colored the happy couple with Copic markers, then used Spellbinders dies to cut out and layer up the image and sentiment.  I also used my handy dandy We R Memory Keepers Scallop Corner Chomper.

Join us for our Sparkle, Bling, and Glitter challenge, going on for another week at Polkadoodles Challenge Blog.

Let the Fairy in You Fly -- for Polkadoodles

It's Friday, and I'm back with another beautiful image, papers, and sentiment from Polkadoodles. It's also time for a new challenge at the Polkadoodle Challenge Blog.  Our theme, starting today, is "Use a Die cut".  Yeah!  Fun and easy!

I used an image from the Serenity Fairy Wishes Digital Download Collection.  This is Serenity Earthstar, available individually here.   The sentiment ticket is from the same Serenity Fairy Wishes Collection.  Since I wanted a Fall Fairy, I used papers from the Witchie Witchie 2013 Craft Download Bundle.

I, of course, used die cuts on this.  There are 3 of them, all from Spellbinders.  I colored the Serenity Earthstar image with Copic markers, then used a Wink of Stella clear glitter marker on the wings and hair to add some sparkle.  The ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM

Witching You a Great Day - for Polkadoodles

I'm excited to announce that I'm on the Polkadoodles Challenge blog team!  I've been having such fun on the Digi Choosday team, so now I get to make even more fun projects with these wonderful images, papers, and digital downloads brimming with goodies!  I love Polkadoodles!  I'm still doing the happy dance!

The theme for the next 2 weeks at Polkadoodles Challenge blog is your favorite card shape.  I love shaped cards in any variety, but one of my favorites these days can be found in the Polkadoodles store here.

The card shape is the Elegant Card Shape 2 cutting file.  The "scary" witch is Amelia Witch Toad.  I colored her with Copic markers, then inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink in Hickory Smoke.  The papers are from the Halloween/Autumn Paper Heaven 1- Digital Download Bundle.  The sentiment tag is from the Witchie Witchie 2013 Craft Download Bundle.

Join us at Polkadoodles for our favorite card shape challenge -- everyone has one!  Color up one of these delightful images and enter the challenge.  You have 2 weeks!
