Tis Gingerbread Season -- A new Release for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Tuesday!  It's New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps!  Every Tuesday, you'll find a new release (or sometimes a re-release) that's 1/2 price for a week.  Today's new release will keep you motivated to make those Christmas cards coming.

Here's Gingerbread Christmas Pocket:

I colored Gingerbread Christmas Pocket with Copic markers, then fussy cut it. Those cookies look good enough to eat, don't they?

The papers I used on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are the newly released Victorian Christmas papers

The 'Tis the Season sentiment die and the Christmas icons dies were all purchased at the Dies R Us Store. The sentiment is by Sue Wilson.  The Christmas icons are by Impression Obsession

You can see other fantastic ideas for this cute Gingerbread Christmas Pocket at the Catch the Bug Blog. Then, head to the Bugaboo Stamps Store to pick it up for 1/2 price!

Spreading Christmas Joy -- for Bugaboo Stamps

Christmas in July is coming to an end over on Catch the Bug Challenges.  Hasn't it been a great week?  I've so enjoyed seeing all the wonderful cards and projects!  There's one more freebie for all of you in the Bugaboo Stamps Store.  After all, its Friday!  Yes,
Freebie Friday is upon us again!

Today's freebie is called Knobby Knees Christmas Sack (how's that for descriptive?), and here it is made up into a card!

Today's challenge as part of the Christmas in July festivities is a color challenge.  Here's the color chart:

I followed the colors pretty closely while using Copic markers, and then tried to really bring out the colors in the chart with my paper choices. The presents paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. The glitter and glossy paper are from Crafter's Companion. The Joy sentiment is a die cut from Sue Wilson.

I hope you enjoyed Christmas in July as much as I and the rest of the Bugaboo Stamps design team did. Finish up those challenges for your chance to win great prizes and a chance to guest design with the Bugaboo team!  Check out all the fun at Catch the Bug Blog

Santa's List -- for Bugaboo Stamps

Christmas in July is nearly over :(.   It's been a great week!  There's today and tomorrow yet, so keep on having fun!  Everything happens over at Catch the Bug Blog. Thursday is always Oldie but Goodie day, and today is no exception.  Find your favorite well loved Christmas image and color it up.  There is also a photo challenge to make it even  more interesting today.  And of course, the theme all week is Santa's Workshop.

Bugaboo Stamps has many, many images that will work with today's theme, but I found this one I thought was particularly cute.  I enjoy the AKV (a kid's view) images very much, so I was looking for one of those to color up, and this one matched the photo oh-so-well!

This is AKV Santa Ho Ho Ho, colored with Copic markers, and then fussy cut.  I wanted to keep it all simple, so I made it into a tag, and then put it on the pearlescent red background.

The 2 papers on the tag are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  One is from the Floral Watercolors collection, and the green paper is from Holiday Letters.

The tag and the snowflakes are a set of dies from Sue Wilson.

I hope you can join us at Catch the Bug Challenges for our Christmas in July fun!  We have tons of great prizes for you to win!  Come back tomorrow for One. More. Day!

Enjoy the Little Things -- New Release Day at All Dressed Up Stamps

It's the 22nd of the month, and it's the day that I get to share one of the new releases from All Dressed Up Stamps.  Every month, Wendy releases 4 new digital stamps, and I'm lucky enough to get to play with one of them.  I always love all of them, but this month I had a hands-down favorite that fits my lifestyle so well.  I don't usually request an image, I just have one sent to me, but this month, I just had to color this one:

This new release is Summer Trainers.  I'm so in love with this image!   I colored Summer Trainers with Copic markers.  The hardest thing of the whole project was choosing the color scheme for the Summer Trainers and laces.  They could be colored in so many different colors!

The star border is a double sided die by Crafter's Companion.  The Summer Trainers are cut out and backed with dies from The Scrapping Cottage.  The computer generated sentiment is in a die from Tutti Designs.

The pretty gingham paper is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the Rainbow Gingham papers.

As I mentioned earlier, there are 4 new releases this month at All Dressed Up Stamps. You can see inspiration for all of them in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group and on the All Dressed Up Stamps Blog

Never Mind, I'll Buy My Own Stuff! for Bugaboo Stamps

Christmas in July is well underway over at Catch the Bug.  Every Wednesday is Humor me Wednesday, and that's the theme today, too!  There are lots and lots of hilarious Bugaboo Stamps digis that work for Humor Me Wednesday!

Stella is one of my favorite characters, so when given an opportunity, I reach for Stella.  She's on my card today:

This is Stella - Dear Santa Note, and it makes me laugh!  I colored Stella - Dear Santa Note with Copic markers, then fussy cut her to get her to work on my card.  That wasn't my intention, but sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do!

The fun papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. She does a great 12 days of Christmas promo every year, and I got these last Christmas.

I hope you've been able to join in the fun of Christmas in July at Catch the Bug Challenges.  Bugaboo Stamps always has the most generous prizes!  You won't want to miss out on the fun!

Bingo Challenge and Surprise Freebie! at Bugaboo Stamps!

Freebie?!?  Did someone say freebie!??! Wow, this week has been so fantastic, and now instead of New Release Tuesday, Jodie is throwing in another Freebie!  This Christmas in July week-long event at Catch the Bug challenges just gets better and better!

Here is Bugaboo Stamps image, Christmas Rocking Horse, free for the Christmas in July festivities.

There's also a bingo challenge to go along with today's freebie.  So, not only did I color Christmas rocking horse with Copic markers, I also followed this bingo card:

I used the bottom row: pattern paper, twine die cut.

The pattern paper I used is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  I used papers from the Shabby Christmas Collection.  The twine is from Timeless Twine.  I was on their design team long ago and I still have a large stash.  The image is cut out with a die from The Scrapping Cottage.  The Peace sentiment is from Sue Wilson.

I hope you join in on the week-long Christmas in July party, and today's Bingo Challenge at Catch the Bug Challenges!  Don't forget to pick up the freebie in the Bugaboo Stamps Store

Rudolph Tag -- Christmas in July at Bugaboo Stamps

The Christmas in July fun is underway over at Catch the Bug Challenges.  Every Monday is ABC Day, or Anything But a Card.  Today is no exception.  Well, every gift needs a way to identify it, so I went with a tag, but before I show it to you, I want to tell you a little bit more about this year's Christmas in July at Bugaboo Stamps.  One of our long-time design team members, Julie Temple recently died, and this whole week is dedicated to her.  I didn't know her well.  She was having health problem by the time I came on the team, but she was always super sweet and helpful to me.  She lived in Eastern Iowa, so she had lousy Winter weather, just like I do here in Wisconsin.  We were practically neighbors, living hours apart, instead of across the world like some of my teammates do.  Here's one blog link I found from way back in 2012 (yes, she was on this team a long time!) that I particularly enjoyed! Check out the cute card, too!

OK, now for the tag I made for today's Anything But A Card Challenge:

I figure, what better to decorate a gift than a tag with Rudolph on it.  This tag is part of a whole set of tags called AKV Reindeer Names Set.  Each reindeer is in the set, in both black & white and a colored version.  I used the black & white version of Rudolph here and colored it with Copic markers.

I created the tag by using a set of dies by Sue Wilson.  The checked paper is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the Winter Plaid papers.

Back to Julie and her cute card from 2012.  Isn't this adorable?

Card by Julie Temple (We miss you, sweet lady)

I hope you can join in on the Christmas in July festivities happening over on the Catch the Bug Blog.  Here's a photo of today's events.  There are great prizes you can win each day -- including guest designer opportunities!  Come join the fun!

Gnome for the Holidays! for Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends

It's with pleasure that I am posting today for the Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog! My crafty friend, Joy runs the team, and I'm super excited to be on another team with her -- and this time she's my "boss"! It's a great challenge blog (always anything goes with the exception of July where it's a Christmas in July theme), and there's always wonderful sponsors!

Speaking of great sponsors, for the next 2 weeks, our sponsor is Pattie's Creations. Pattie is offering a prize of 2 digis of your choice from her Etsy Shop.  Great prize!

I love gnomes, so when given the opportunity to use this adorable Winter Gnome, I colored it up right away! Here's the card I came up with:

I colored Winter Gnome with a combination of Copic markers and Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy cut it.  The G-N-M-and E were cut out with dies from Spellbinders.  The 'for the holidays is computer generated.  I found that pretty snowflake paper in the AMB Illustrations store, and the blue ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

That's it for my Winter Gnome card.  Come link up a Christmas in July project, or whatever you'd like at Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends, and thanks to Pattie's Creations for her lovely sponsorship!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenge:

Santa's Workshop Sketch Challenge -- at Catch the Bug

The fun continues at Catch the Bug Challenges with our Santa's Workshop theme.  Today, there is a sketch challenge.  I love using sketches!  They really help me put a card together.  Today's sketch is a great one.  You're going to like it!  First my card, then the sketch.

Santa, of course!

This card uses Bugaboo Stamps digital image, AKV Santa Tree, colored with Copic markers.

Here's the sketch:
I followed it exactly! I don't know if I've ever followed a sketch so closely before, but it worked really well with AKV Santa Tree, my sentiment, and my papers, so I went with it.

The papers in this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The pixilated paper on the right is one of the papers in the Holiday Letters Collection.  The Christmas Trees are one of the papers in the Christmas Fun paper pack.

The Ho Ho Ho sentiment is a die cut out of foil paper by Sue Wilson Designs. The Foil and foil tape are from Close To My Heart, and the green dots are from Fun Stamper's Journey.

Head on over to Catch the Bug Challenges for the week-long Christmas in July festivities.  There are prizes to be won everyday, and you could be one of the lucky ones to get a guest designer spot with the wonderful Bugaboo Stamps design team!  It doesn't get much better than that!

Sleigh Ride -- For JDS Challenges

Jan's Digi Stamp Challenges are now month-long, but are always anything goes.  Enter whatever you are working on: cards, crocheting, gardening, home decor -- we'd like to see it all!  Today's post is a bit of mid-month inspiration, and to let you know that Jan is having a bit of a Christmas in July sale.  All Christmas sets are 25% the entire month of July!  It's time to stock up on those cute sets you've been thinking about! There are 21 sets on sale in the Jan Mayhew Store!

I used a simple, yet beautiful set from one of the 21 sale sets.  It's called Sleigh Ride

I used the main image and one of the sentiments in the set of Sleigh Ride.  It comes with the main image flipped in either direction, and also has some winter-like trees, plus more sentiments.

This double sided tree edger die had recently arrived at my house, so I thought it would work well with this Sleigh Ride image.  It took a bit to get the sizing of the image figured out with the trees, but I'm happy with the final results.   The edger die is from Crafter's Companion.

The pretty plaid background paper is by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the papers in the Holiday Letters Collection

The snowbanks at the bottom of the Sleigh Ride image were created by free handing 2 rows of drifts.  The snow was made with Nuvo Glitter Drops.

The JDS Challenge will run until Sunday, August 2.  I truly hope you join us.  There is a gift certificate for someone using a JDS image, and a random draw for a gift certificate out of all the entries, plus some designer's choice awards.

Let the Celebration Begin! At Bugaboo Stamps

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas over at Catch the Bug Blog.  A week-long celebration starts today with a theme of Santa's workshop.  You'll find themed challenges each day and incredible prizes.  Head on over to Catch the Bug for all the details on how to participate and what you can win! (lots and lots of Bugaboo Stamps images and some guest designer spots, too!)

With the Santa's workshop theme in mind, I thought I'd give Santa center stage today.  Here's Santa getting on his Ho Ho HO!

This card uses Sign it Santa, colored with Copic markers.  The sign portion is blank, so you can enter whatever you want.  I computer generated the Ho Ho Ho.  I think this Sign it Santa would make great to/from tags, too!

The papers on this festive Santa card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  I used 3 papers from the Holiday Letters Collection

Come join the fun of Santa's Workshop over at Catch the Bug this week.  It's going to be a celebration worth joining in on!

Birthday Butterfly -- For The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode

It's Saturday, and there's a new challenge starting today at the Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode Challenge.  The theme for the next 2 weeks is "Fancy".  You can interpret that however you like! Make your project as fancy as you'd like, and come join the Paper ala Mode Challenge

Our sponsor this whole year is We Are 3 Digital Shop.  We are, of course, using many various "fancy" products for this challenge!

That pretty butterfly is The Butterfly of Hope, colored with Copic markers.  It comes in a pre-colored version, also.  The fantastic papers on this card are from the Peonies Ballet Collection.  The sentiment is from the Birthday Wishes sentiment collection

The pretty dies that I used to cut out a couple of the papers on this card are from Crafter's Companion.

I hope you join us the next 2 weeks for our "fancy" challenge at The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode

Foxicorn Magic -- for Colour Crazy Challenge Blog

It's Friday, and there's a new challenge underway at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.  Every Friday it happens, and every Friday we have a wonderful sponsor for the week.  This week, was a new company -- for me at least -- Knitty Kitty Digis.

I've never seen a Foxicorn, but if I believe in fairies, mermaids, and leprechauns, why not a foxicorn?

I colored Foxicorn with Copic markers, then fussy cut him/her out to fit on that circle of rainbow paper by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It, and the blue dots, are from the Rainbow Skies Collection. I made the rocking card by cutting out the largest circle die I had and scoring it in half.  The sentiment was computer generated.

I hope you can join us this week at Colour Crazy Challenges.  Challenges are Anything Goes as long as you color your project with whatever medium you choose. We have awesome sponsors -- like Knitty Kitty!

Christmas in July -- for Dies R Us Challenges

It's the 15th of the month, and that means a new challenge starts today on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. The theme is Christmas in July.  It's always good to get a jump on Christmas cards, right? RIGHT! All you need to do is use at least 1 die by a brand sold in the Dies R Us Store, and you are good to enter.

I found a beautiful die by Cheery Lynn in the Dies R Us Store called Elegant Evergreen Christmas Tree, and I just knew I wanted to use it on my cards this year:

I cut out the Elegant Evergreen Christmas Tree using a green foil paper.  Behind it is a doily that I just love by Prima Marketing.  It's very similar to this Lace Rose Doily in the Dies R Us Store. The gold star at the top of the tree is one of a nested set by Technique Tuesday, but it is similar to this set by Tutti Designs.

The designer papers on this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  I used 3 papers from the Christmas Fun papers

Christmas in July -- a very fun theme for the next 2 weeks!  I really hope you join us!  We give away a $10 gift certificate each challenge, plus some designer choice awards.  Come join us!

Paws-ing to say Thanks -- for We Are 3 Digital Shop

I have so many blessings to count!  One of them is being on the We Are 3 Digital Shop design team.  For my birthday this year, (July 6), owner and friend, Bonnie Kohane designed some digital products in my honor.  I used most of them in the following thank you cards.  On first glance, the cards may look the same, but look closer, and you will see that each one is different, and features a different Muddy Paws papers or Muddy Paws printables

Each of these cards was needed for a very special birthday gift or get together that I had with friends or family.  Like I said at the start of this post.  I am so blessed!

I am so totally in love with these Muddy Paws papers and Muddy Paws printables! I also used sentiments from the Itty Bitty Sentiments

Visit the We Are 3 Digital Shop for papers, digital images, and printables for just about anything you could ever need.  You'll have so much fun!

A Chocolate Bath -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Humor Me Wednesday over on the Catch the Bug Blog for Bugaboo Stamps. Every Wednesday, Bugaboo Stamps designers feature obscure holidays that can be humorous, or in some cases downright bizarre. You never know what might be featured during Humor Me Wednesday!  Since July 6 was National Chocolate Day (and my birthday), that seems like a fine day to celebrate to me!  Ruby has something so say about chocolate on this card!

This card features Ruby Chocolate - Bathe in Chocolate, and I colored it with Copic markers.  She looks quite pleased with herself, doesn't she?  Ruby knows how to enjoy life, I tell you what!  Oh, and that fun sentiment comes with the set!

The fun papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  I used 2 papers from the Baking Cookies collection.

Check out the Catch the Bug Blog to see what the other talented designers made for Humor Me Wednesday!  You won't be disappointed!

Plant a Garden -- for JDS Challenges

It's the first Monday of the month, and that means there is a new challenge getting underway at Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges.  They are always Anything Goes. Challenges now last for a month, and at the end of each challenge, 2 gift certificates are awarded.  One is random, and one is for an entry using a Jan's Digi Stamp image.  There are also 3 designer choice awards.

I used a gorgeous stamp set from the Jan's Digi Stamp Store.  It is a new release, and has so, so, so many pretty images in it, and different sentiments with it, too.

This card uses one of the images from Wildflower Blossoms, and one of the sentiments.  Beautiful, yes?

I got some new watercolor markers from Spectrum Noir and decided to give them a play.  There was a bit of a learning curve with the different nibs on them,  but I'm fairly happy with how this turned out.  I don't use watercolors nearly enough.  Much of the watercolor effect was achieved with a paint brush.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  I used 2 of the papers from Margaret's Irises.  The butterflies are from Crafter's Companion.

I hope you  join us this month for the Anything Goes challenge over at JDS Challenges!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Let Freedom Ring -- For Bugaboo Stamps

We're Celebrating Independence Day here in the USA, and it's a celebration like no other.  Between the Coronavirus and social unrest, celebrations are looking very different than they have other years.  I feel we still have much to be thankful for, and should be proud of our country and its heritage, so I celebrate.

It's Saturday, so Catch the Bug Challenges is starting a new challenge today.  It's the first Saturday of the month, so it's an Anything Goes challenge.  They are always my favorite!

Bugaboo Stamps has some great patriotic images for both Canada and the US.  Here's one of my favorites!

I colored up this same Patriotic Pup last year, and I just love him!  He's USA Flag Puppy, and I colored him with Copic markers.  There's a Canadian version also, in case you're from north of the border.

The multiple star background is a double sided die from Crafter's Comp1anion.  I thought it was the perfect backdrop to the USA Flag Puppy.  The stitched circle die is also from Crafter's Companion.

I hope you have a great 4th of July, and I also hope you find time this week to join in on the anything goes challenge at Catch the Bug! We have great prizes you could win, and I'd love to see your creations!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
D.L. Art -- July Linky Party
Simply Create Too -- Red, White, & Blue

It's a Celebration -- at The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode Challenges

Happy 4th of July, my American friends!  This is an Independence Day like no other one I can remember.  Normally my small town is bustling with tourists, a huge parade, a family party in the town park, craft fairs, vintage car shows, softball tournaments, etc, etc.  This year, it's all been cancelled due to Covid 19.  There are tourists around, but things are much, much quieter than they've ever been.  It's a mighty strange year.

But we still have much to celebrate, right?  The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode has a challenge that starts today, and its' theme is about a certain type of celebration -- Birthdays!  we card makers love to make birthday cards, and can never have enough, so join us at The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode for the next 2 weeks.

Here's my card for the challenge (dog themed, of course!)

All the products on this card are from our sponsor, We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The adorable cupcake is Olive Cupcake.  It comes in both a black and white and a recolored version.  I used the recolored version here.  The papers are from the Happy Birthday Collection.  It is a set of 4 papers, and I used 3 of the 4 on this card.  The Celebrate sentiment is a die from The Scrapping Cottage. The pretty doily die is from Close To My Heart.

I hope you join us over at The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode for our Birthday challenge.  I'd love to see what you create!

Rudolf Joy -- for SheepSki Designs

It's July, and it's time for a new challenge over at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog.  We're celebrating Christmas in July all month long! There's many great Christmas and winter themed images in the SheepSki Designs Etsy Shop that would work for this theme!

I colored up the fun and cute Rudolf:

Rudolf was colored with Copic markers, using my colorless blender to give him a bit of texture.  The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.   The branches paper is from the Holly Berries papers. The plaid paper is one of the Winter Plaids.  The die cut joy is one I've had for a long time and no longer remember who it's by.

I hope you join us this month for Christmas in July at SheepSki Design Challenges. I'd love to see what you create, and you can win fantastic digis -- like this one!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up -- ATG
ABC Christmas Challenge -- 'N' is for no fuss
Fezziwigs Festive Frolics -- Anything Christmas
The House that Stamps Built -- Christmas in July

Summer Hopscotch -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

It's July 1, and that means it's time for a new challenge over in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group.  The theme this month is "For the kidz" Wendy Burns has so many darling young child images in the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop that would work perfectly for this theme!

For this month's challenge, I used one of the newer releases, Hop Scotch. This takes me back to many happy hours of childhood fun:

I colored Hop Scotch with Copic markers.  The set of dies that I used to cut her out and back her no longer have a label on them, so I can't give the company credit.  The Hello Summer sentiment is from  Impression Obsession.  I use this set a lot.  It is the perfect size for a card. The small dotted paper was in my scraps -- again, I can't give credit.

I hope you can join our For the Kidz challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group.  I'd love to see your creations!  There's also a challenge every month over on the All Dressed Up Blog.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Birthday Butterflies -- For Dies R Us Challenge Blog

A  new month - a new challenge! It's time for another one on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. Every 1st and 15th, you'll find challenges beginning on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog, and there is always a theme. Sometimes, like today, and for the next 2 weeks, the theme is any goes.  As long as you use a die from a brand sold in the Dies R Us Store, you can link up anything! Dies R Us sells over 50 brands of dies, so have at it!

Anything Goes -- I think they are my favorite themes, and why not?  I can make anything I want. I got out a set of dies from one of the favorite die companies sold at Dies R Us -- Birch Press Design, and made this:

This was created with the Flutter Layer Set.  It is no longer available, I there are some other fantastic Birch Press sets you might want to explore. There are 3 layers in the set, and this card's made with all 3 layers.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is part of 60 piece word and shadow set from Crafter's Companion.  If you put Happy Birthday in the "Search", you will find many sets that would work. The small butterfly in the upper right corner is one from a set by Impression Obsession.  I like it for its simplicity and small size.

The background paper on this card is by We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is fairly new to the shop. It is one of the Watercolor Strokes papers.

I hope you can join us this  next 2 weeks for our Anything Goes Challenge At Dies R Us Challenge Blog!  I'd love to see your creations, and there is a $10 gift certificate given away each time.  There's also Didi Crafts, the sister store of Dies R Us, located in Canadian!
