Ho Ho Ho -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

It's October 1st (Yikes!), and that means we're one month closer to Christmas, and one month closer to needing those Christmas cards made!  It also means it's time for a new linky party at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. This month's optional theme is Sensational Santas.  Our sponsor is Limited Runs.  Keep in mind, though, you don't need to follow the twist to win a paper, or the $10 gift certificate from our sponsor.  To be eligible to win this month's featured paper pack, you do need to follow the Sensational Santa theme, displaying a Santa somewhere on your card.  The digital papers are made each month by the lovely Lisa Decosse of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. 

I used Limited Run's digital image, Mini Santa, to create this:

I colored the Mini Santa with Copic markers, then fussy cut it out.  I used two different papers from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  Both the Santa and the plaid papers are Lisa's.

I colored the mini snowman with Copic markers -- it didn't take much coloring.  I used a die from Sizzix to cut out the step card, then a Spellbinders die to cut out the snowman and the backing paper.  The designer papers on this card are from one of the other sponsors at The 12 Months of Christmas -- Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  Lisa makes beautiful papers for us each month.  I love the pink and teal in these snowflake and swirl papers!

I colored Monster 5 with Copic markers, using primarily blue violet colors.  

The spider web paper is from We Are 3 Digital Shop. There's some purple glitter paper behind the monster.  Both the monster and the glitter paper were cut out with dies from Spellbinders.  The sentiment on this card is from Close To My Heart.

It's time for a new challenge, this first Monday of the month, at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  If you've been following along with us this year, you've caught on to our color themes.  This month, the optional color theme is 'yellow'.  I love yellow!  Yellow makes me happy!  Yellow makes me think of sunshine, warmth, and growing things.  Yellow, to me, is a fell-good color!

Welcome, crafty friends!  It's time for a new challenge at Path of Positivity Challenge blog.  This is the 3rd and final month of our "Surround Yourself" themed challenges.  This month, the optional theme is "Surround Yourself with Music", or you can enter any positive project.  We have 2 guest sponsors this month -- Limited Runs, and Imagine That Digistamp.  For this post, I got to play with a fun image from Limited Runs:

This is Mini Birds - Starry Night, by Limited Runs, printed on blue card stock, and colored with Faber Castell colored pencils.  The sentiment was computer generated.  

I've always liked the song Vincent (Starry, Starry Night) by Don McClean, and as soon as I saw this Mini Birds - Starry Night digi stamp, I thought of that song.  I've also been a fan of Vincent VanGogh ever since I studied art history in college, so this card ties in to both my love of art and music.  

Papers on this card are from Close To My Heart.  I used dies by Die-namics to cut out the image, sentiment,  and backgrounds.

Today is Full of Possibilities -- for the Path of Positivity

Hello, happy Monday!  I hope you had a great weekend!  It's time for some mid-challenge inspiration over on the Path of Positivity Challenge blog. The optional theme this month is "Birth of New Beginnings", or use any positive theme you'd like. 
We have 2 guest sponsors this month:  Limited Runs and Kitten Scraps.  For the mid-month inspiration, I had the pleasure of designing with the Butterfly 6 digital stamp from Limited Runs.  I used it to create this:

I played around a bit with this butterfly, flipping it a couple times and re-sizing it.  Then, I sponged the background using the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks.  I think it gives it a watercolor feel, but it's done strictly with inks.   The background papers are from Close To My Heart, and the sentiment is, too.  I thought the sentiment tied in nicely with the New Beginnings theme.  A day full of possibilities is a day full of new beginnings.  Spring is full of new beginnings.  That's why I like butterflies so much.  They are a sign of new life for me.

Welcome to the North Pole - for the 12 Months of Christmas

December 1!  Here we go!  It is upon us!  That also means that the last challenge of the year is starting at the 12 Months of Christmas Challenge blog.  If you've played along with us all year, you've got quite a stash of Christmas cards, ready to send!

For today's card, I used an image from Limited Run Digis. 

The Limited Runs Stamps digi is called Catching a Snowflake.   I colored her with Copic markers.  The sentiment was made for me, just for this challenge, by Lisa Decosse, of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. 

I cut the snowflake card shape out on my Silhouette Cameo, finding the file in the Silhouette Design Store.  Design paper is from Echo Park.  The sparkly ribbon on this card is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. 

Prosperity -- how do you define it?  For me, a walk on a Winter day, with my husband on one side, and my wonderful dog on the other, catching snowflakes, is as rich as it gets.  May you find prosperity this year, my friends!

It's time for some midway inspiration at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog, where our theme this month is 'Sharing'. I am sharing a birthday card I made for a special friend using a digi from one of our wonderful sponsors, Limited Runs.

This Limited Runs image, Mouse & Big Cupcake, was colored with Copic markers.  I used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.  The cupcake-shaped card is a cutting file from The Cutting Cafe. The sentiment is computer-generated.  The sequins are from Close To My Heart. I used a scoreboard to make the paper look like a cupcake wrapper.

Sharing birthday wishes with special people -- I think that's a perfect way to spread joy!

It's Christmas Time -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

Did I scare you with that title?  I want to show you my second Christmas card of 2015.  My goal is to get one or 2 made each month.  I accomplished this last year, and it made December a little less overwhelming. Today's card uses an image from our sponsor, Limited Runs, and papers from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

I used the Limited Runs image "Poinsettia Cupcake" on this card, and "A Matter of Time" papers.

The image was colored with Copic markers, then cut out with a couple sizes of a Spellbinder die.  The digi papers were printed on my Canon printer. The card base is Close To My Heart Barn Red card stock.  I used a We R Memory Keepers Scallop Corner Chomper on some of the edges.
