Starry Skies -- For Dies R Us Challenges

Here we are, to the 15th of June already.  Summer is just about here on the calendar, and many of us are in summer mode now that schools are out, and graduation is over.

Dies R Us Challenges has a theme of Dads/Masculine this month.  Use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store, follow the theme, and you have until the end of the month to link up.

I needed several Graduation cards recently, and this is what I created for one of them:

I used the Starry Skies background die from Sizzix, and the You Did It dies from Frantic Stamper.  The yellow background was blended with inks from Hero Arts and Tim Holtz Oxide Distress inks

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for our Dads/Masculine challenge.  Just remember to use a brand of die found in the Dies R Us Store.  For Canadian friends, there is the Didi Crafts Store.  It offers a wonderful selection of craft products and reasonable shipping rates.

Fabulous Peacock -- For Dies R Us Challenges

It's the first of June, and we're starting a new challenge today over on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog The challenge will run for the next 2 weeks, and it's Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store

I like birds, and I happen to think peacocks are magnificent when they have those feathers displayed, so when I found a 12x12 paper pad of peacock paper, AND a peacock die, well, I just couldn't resist the collection.

The Peacock die is by Crafter's Companion. The 'Fabulous' die is from Frantic Stamper. I used Dusty Concord Distress Oxide Ink around the edges of the card.

Fabulous!  A fabulous die, a fabulous set of papers, a fabulous store (Dies R Us), and of course, a fabulous challenge.  I hope you join us these next 2 weeks at Dies R Us Challenges!

For our friends in Canadian, check out the Didi Crafts Store.  There's wonderful selection, and great prices on shipping!

Love Pup -- An All Dressed Up Stamps New Release

It's the 22nd of the month, and that means the All Dressed Up Stamps design team is showcasing this month's New Releases today.  Every 7th and 22nd of the month, you can find some inspiration for the new releases from the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop.  This month, there are 3 new releases being showcased.

You know I love dogs, so I went a bit wild when Wendy, the talented artist of All Dressed Up Stamps first showed me one of this month's New Releases -- Woof You. I was so pleased when it was sent my way to design with.

Here is my version of Woof You...

I colored Woof You with Copic markers.  The papers on this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are the Muddy Paws Papers, the papers that Bonnie created in honor of my birthday last year.  I can't tell you how much I adore them!  The paw print border is a die from Frantic Stamper.  The sentiment and large paw print are from a set of dies by Kat Scrappiness.

You can see what the other talented designers created with the New Releases in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group, and on the All Dressed Up Stamps blog

Birthday Cake for You! And for Dies R Us Challenges

It's August 1, and that means a new challenge starts today at Dies R Us Challenges.  Every 1st and 15th of the month, it's challenge time! The theme for the next 2 weeks is: Desserts.  Any kind of desserts.  The only requirement about your project is that you use at least 1 die of a brand sold in the Dies R Us Store.  And, there are many brands sold there, so the door is pretty wide open!

Desserts -- what would like be without them?  Chocolate, ice cream, cake, the list is endless.  One of my favorites is birthday cake because it also marks a special occasion.  So, when thinking of desserts, I thought of birthday cake and birthdays, and created this:

The die that is front and center is by Tutti Designs.  It is called Birthday Topper.  I cut it out using a sky blue foil paper by Tonic Studios.  The balloon and string are by Frantic Stamper.  They are part of a set called Birthday Icons

The confetti background paper is by We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is one of the papers in the Celebrate Collection

I hope you join us for our Desserts Themed challenge.  There will be a gift certificate given away at the end of the challenge, and 3 designer choice awards.  I'd love to see your take on the dessert theme!  Don't forget, for Canadian customers, Dies R Us has a sister store. Check out Didi Crafts -- shipping to both Canada and the US!

Life is Beautiful -- for Dies R Us Challenge Blog

It's the first of the month, so that means a new challenge starts today at Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  Every 1st and 15th, like clockwork, a new challenge begins! The theme for the next 2 weeks is, It's Dad's Day (Father's Day/masculine cards).  I no longer have fathers or grandfathers in my life, so I made a masculine card for this challenge.  It made me reminisce a bit about my brother and my dad when we were growing up:

Much fishing together went on between my brother and my father.  That is what this die from Frantic Stamper made me think of.  It is Fishing on the Dock of the Bay.

I created the background using Distress Oxide inks.  I let them dry for 24 hours to prevent smudging and finger prints (been there, done that!).  The 'Life is Beautiful' sentiment is from Crafter's Companion.

Every challenge, a $10 gift certificate is given away (random), and 3 designer choice awards.  You must use a die sold in the Dies R Us store on your project to be eligible for the prize.

Dies R Us has a sister store, Didi Crafts that will ship to Canadian.  If you are a Canadian reader, check it out!

Sunflower Hello -- a New Release for All Dressed Up Stamps

Today is one of the days where New Releases are featured at All Dressed Up Stamps.  Every month, Wendy draws 4 new images, and twice each month, the design team features the New Releases.  Today is one of those days!  I love New Release days!  Today, I get to show you the absolutely adorable Sunflower...

I colored Sunflower with Copic markers, then used a couple of Spellbinders dies to cut her out.  The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are 2 of the papers in the Sunflower Collection.  The pretty yellow crinkle ribbon bow is from 3 Girl JAM (no longer in business).  The 'Hello' sentiment is from Frantic Stamper.

Sunflower is just one of many, many great stamps in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop.  I hope you check them all out and do some shopping!  Check out the All Dressed Up Facebook Group to see what the other designers made with the New Releases, and the All Dressed Up Stamps Blog. There are monthly challenges you can enter to win All Dressed Up Stamps both places!  Get coloring!

You Did It! for Dies R Us Challenge Blog

It's the 15th of the month, so it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenge Blog. Every challenge runs for 2 weeks, and it has a theme.  The theme that starts today is, "Graduation/Congratulations".

I truly feel sorry for this year's graduating classes.  They are missing out on many opportunities because if this pandemic.  No large gatherings tend to put a damper in graduation festivities!

I do know some graduation seniors from the local high school, and I've been making them cards.  We can at least acknowledge them with handmade cards (and of course CASH!)

Here's my card for today's challenge:

The focal point of this card -- the "You Did It" sentiment, is from Frantic Stamper.  The school colors here are purple and white, so I mounted the You Did It on purple card stock, and cut the lettering on white. The stars are by Technique Tuesday, but these stars from Amy Design would work equally as well.

There are other great project from the Dies R Us Challenge team that I hope you take time to study and enjoy, and I hope they inspire you to create a graduation/congratulations themed project of your own. One $10 gift certificate will be awarded and 3 designer choice awards.

.Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Lucky You Card -- for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

I'm posting today on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.  I always enjoy my chance to get out my large collection of dies and play with them.   Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Since it's the holiday, I thought I'd share a lucky card with you today:

I'll link to the supplies found in the Dies R Us Store at the bottom of the post, but here is a photo of all the supplies used on this card:

I die cut all the pieces, using the Lucky You die several times and cutting the clover off of the words.

Here are all the pieces die cut:
After everything was cut out, and the clovers were separated from the words, I just needed to assemble the card.  I did that with CraftPerfect The Best Glue Ever.  It is great for adhering words and small die cuts to your projects!

Dies R Us Store products used on this Lucky You card:

Here's one more view my Lucky You card, leaving you with a wish for plenty of luck on St. Patrick's Day and all year long!

Don't forget to shop both the Dies R Us Store and the Didi Crafts Store for tons of awesome dies and other great products.  Dies R Us now ships to Canada, too! Also, don't forget about the Dies R Us Challenges on the 1st and 15th of each month.  There are great prizes you could win! Check out this blog everyday for great inspiration!

Hare to Celebrate -- for Lavinia World Challenges

It's Thursday, and it's time for a new challenge at Lavinia World Challenges.  Challenge #21 starts today.  They are always Anything Goes as long as you use an acrylic or rubber  stamp.  Of course, we love to see those Lavinia Stamps and papers!

You can never have too many birthday cards, that's why this Woodland Hare donned his party hat and grabbed some balloons! It's time to celebrate!

I used one of the 2 hares in the Woodland Hares set and stamped him with VersaFine Clair ink in Morning Mist.  I think he might have been able to hold on to all 3 of those helium balloons if his party hat wasn't just a tad too big. But then again, he's a Woodland Hare, and doesn't have thumbs, so he was bound to have some trouble. Hopefully a magical fairy will come his way and help him to the party!

All the fun die cuts on this card are from a Birthday Icons set from Frantic Stamper. The 'Celebrate' sentiment is also from Frantic Stamper. The stitched circle die is from Lawn Fawn. The pretty birthday papers are a new release at We Are 3 Digital Shop.   They are part of the Happy Birthday Collection.

I used the current sketch at Cheerful Sketches to jumpstart my creativity and will be entering it in their challenge.

I hope you can join us at Lavinia World Challenges.  You might be the lucky winner of a $15 gift Certificate to the Lavinia World Store.  How great would that be?!?  If you don't have a blog, you can enter in the Anything Lavinia Facebook Group.

Have fun getting inky!

Sending Woof's of Christmas Wishes -- New Releases from All Dressed Up Stamps

It's the 22nd of the month, and new releases are being showcased for this month's All Dressed Up Stamps in the Facebook Group Today.  there are 4 new releases, and I managed to color up 2 of them to showcase today.  This is a milestone event for me!  I had a mild stroke several weeks ago, and this is the first coloring I've shared since it happened.  The stroke effected the right side of my body more than my left side, and I'm left handed, so coloring doesn't go too badly, but card construction is a struggle, and writing blog posts makes my brain HURT!!  I literally take a nap after I get it done. It is such a struggle for me!

But, on to the 2 new releases I have to share with you. All the new releases can be found in the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop.

The first is Woof Christmas-- perfect for my dog-loving friends!

I colored Woof Christmas with Copic markers.  The paw print border is a die from Frantic Stampers.  The bone die came in a set from Cheery Lynn.  Both sets were purchased from Dies R Us.  The  paw print paper is a digital paper form Echo Park. The sentiment is part of the Woof Christmas digi.

Card #2 uses new release, Christmas Skater.  I think this will be a favorite of this release.  I love her elegant lines!

I colored Christmas Skater with Copic markers, then found that perfect sentiment in a Christmas stamp set I've had for a long time. The edger dies are from Spellbinders.  The Snowflake dies are from Lawn Fawn.  The Background looking glitter paper is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the papers in the Christmas Magic Set.

Either of these images would work well for this month's All Dressed Up Facebook challenge -- Christmas is Coming.  Why not grab them (you know you want them!), color them up, and join us in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group!

Hip Hip Hooray! For Scrapy Land Challenges

Today is the 3rd Wednesday of November, and that means there is a new challenge starting today at the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog.  Challenges are always Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die that is sold in the Scrapy Land Store.  Scrapy Land sells dozens and dozens of brands of dies, so this is very easy to do!  Shop the Scrapy Land Store here, and see for yourself!

I like to have a stash of birthday cards.  It seems like I often need one, and you never know when hubby will come home from work with a request like, "I need a birthday card for tomorrow."  So, when I saw this Hip Hip Hooray Card Panel from Frantic Stamper, I knew what I wanted to make with it:

The balloon is also from Frantic Stamper.  It is one icon in a set of Birthday Icons

I think this Hip Hip Hooray Card Panel could have many uses.  I can see it as a graduation card, a retirement card, baby card -- any occasion worth celebrating!

I hope you can join us the next 2 weeks at the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog.  One winner gets a $15 gift certificate to the Scrapy Land Store!

One Card Panel, 3 Cards -- for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

I'm pleased to be posting today for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.    I had a great time with today's post!

I've been playing with a card panel die, and I want to show you what I've come up with!  One panel, 3 looks!

The die is a Diagonal Striped Card Panel Die from Frantic Stamper.  There's lots you can do with this!

The first card I created was a Christmas card:

I'll tell you more about it in a bit, but first, a photo of all the supplies used in today's projects:

All the die cut pieces for the first card look like this:
Once it was die cut, it was easy to put together.  I used Stick It Adhesive for small die cuts and the Best Glue Ever for everything else.

Card 2 is a thank you card.  In this one, the card is a landscape card, and I cut out a square to go behind the diagonal panel.  Here are all the parts of the card after they are die cut, but before they are put together:

Here's the assembled Thank You card:

The final card is a sympathy card.  I went back to the original orientation with this one.  Here are all the pieces die cut:
Here's the last card, assembled:

I'll give you links for all the wonderful dies and products I used on these cards, found in the Dies R Us Store

I also used dies from Crafter's CompanionSizzix, and Memory Box.

I hope you enjoyed your visit and that I was able to inspire you to use your dies, create a project, and come play along with us at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog for your chance to win a gift voucher to the Dies R Us Store.  A new challenge begins on the 1st and 15th of every month.  Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Pinterest too.

Frenchie Joy -- for Scrapy Land Challenges

It's the 3rd Wednesday of the month, and that means it's time for a new challenge at the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog.  The theme is Anything Goes as long as you use a die or brand that Scrapy Land sells. Easy!

I recently saw this Spellbinders die, and just had to have it.  I'm so dog obsessed, that I knew I needed it for some of my dog loving friends for their Christmas cards. I know I'll be replicating this card a few times:

I cut out the 2 sizes of banners with a die set from Lawn Fawn, called Stitched Party Banner Dies.   The Ornate Joy is from Frantic Stamper.  The blue eyes were achieved with dots of a Viva Decor Turquoise Pearl Pen.

The designer papers on this card are from the We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The handsome dog's bow tie came from the Peppermint Collection. Houndstooth Holiday is the other paper.

I hope you can join us in the next 2 weeks at Scrapy Land Challenges.  You could win a $15 gift certificate!  Remember, it's anything goes, as long as you use a die or brand of die sold in the Scrapy Land Store

You Are Pawsitively Wonderful! for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

I'm posting today for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.  I love the days where I get to play with the wonderful dies offered in the Dies R Us Store, but today's was a particular joy!   If you know much about me at all, you know I'm a dog lover.  I had sooooooo much fun creating today's card!!!!

This card is created with a die from Frantic Stamper called Walking the Dog.  Frantic Stamper describes it as a card panel die.  You can see what it looks like in this picture:

I did a lot of paper piecing with this die, and tried out various papers to see what look I liked.  Here's everything cut out, having run the die through my die cut machine quite a few times!

All those little pieces needed to pieced together.  It felt kind of like putting a puzzle together.  I used Stick It Adhesive Sheets to accomplish the task.

Here's the panel put together:

I have to tell you that my dog and I go on several walks a day, but I fear I have never looked this glamourous!

Dies R Us Store supplies used on this card:

I hope you visit the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog often to see the wonderful dies in use that available in the Dies R Us Store.  There is also a Dies R Us Challenge Blog where you can use all those great dies you purchase!   Join the fun!
