Love Today -- for Scrapyland Challenge Blog

It's the 3rd Wednesday of the month, so it's time for a new challenge on the Scrapyland Challenge Blog.  Challenges are anything goes, as long as you used products sold in the Scrapyland Store, and they will go for 2 weeks.

I used 3 dies to create this card:

I started out by inking a background with 3 different, matching pink  Harmony inks from Spectrum Noir.  I then cut out the circle with a die from Paper Artist that was the same size as the Delicate Butterfly.  The Delicate Butterfly is a die from Memory Box.  Doesn't it have a pretty, lacy, cut?  I'm in love with it!  Speaking of love, I also love the basketweave background die from Sue Wilson that I used on this.

You're Amazing -- for Scrapyland Challenges

It's the first Wednesday of the month, so it's time for a new challenge on the Scrapyland Challenge Blog.  Challenges are always anything goes using a brand that Scrapyland sells, and that go for 2 weeks.

I used 4 dies on this card to create this:

The hoop die is from Neat & Tangled.  I cut it out with some gold foil paper so it would show up nicely against the white background.  The lacy white background is part of a set by Sue Wilson.  It is the Belgian Collection - Bruges die set. I used the 2 outside dies on this.  The swallow die is a Spellbinders die, but you can find a similar one here in the Scrapyland Store.  The black circle inside the gold hoop was cut with a circle die from Paper Artist

The Scrapyland Challenge Blog -- each time 2 $10 gift certificates are awarded to the store, so link up!  I'd love to see your creations!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Digichoosday -- ATG
Word Art Wednesday -- ATG
Outlawz Monday Greeting Challenge -- ATG

You're the Balm! for The Cutting Cafe

There's quite a few pictures with today's post, so bear with me! This week, at The Cutting Cafe, we're using The Cutting Cafe's Printable Stamps and/or papers, and anything recycled, repurposed, or upcycled.  Oooh, sounds like a fun challenge, doesn't it?
Here's the first view of my recycled project, then I'll tell you a bit about it:
I made these tags out of a cereal box.  Cereal boxes make the best chipboard!
You will need:
that cereal box to give some sturdiness to your tag, digital papers from The Cutting Cafe. I used the Chevron Fall Background Printables, The Colored Mini Polk A Dot Background Set, the Christmas Chevrons Printable Set, and Friends background printable stamp. After I die cut the tag out of both chipboard (cereal box) and printable paper, I used my Silhouette to cut out the flowers.  They are the 5 Petal Layered Flower, found at The Cutting Cafe.
Below, is a picture of everything cut out, but not yet assembled.
I am using these lip balm tags as table decorations at an upcoming girls gathering.  We all take turns cooking for our multi-day event.  I'm not much of a cook, so I'll add a little fun to my meal with some cute gifts for them set at each place.

Next time you are done with the cereal box, don't throw it! Re-purpose it instead!  It really is wonderful chipboard.
Visit the Cutting Cafe's blog on May 7 for more fun inspiration and recycled projects from this very talented design team.  Leave a comment on the blog, and you could win 3 sets of your choosing from The Cutting Cafe store

For You -- and for QKR Stampede

It's Friday, so that means it's time for a new challenge at the QKR Stampede challenge blog.  With Mother's Day just around the corner here in the US, our theme this week is 'Mother's Day Cards'.
Here's my latest QKR Stampede creation --
This adorable QKR Stampede image is called "Hello" (digi11407). I colored her with Copic markers, then fussy cut her.  The 2 tags and butterfly are die cuts from Paper Artist's Cutting Dies. The glimmer trim is from Close To My Heart. The Kraft card base is from Papertrey Ink. Designer papers are Echo Park Here & Now 12x12. The pretty bit of baker's twine is Timeless Twine -- Key Lime Sorbet.
Join us this week at QKR Stampede with your own Mother's Day creations.  I'd love to see what you make!
