It's Tuesday, so that means it's New Release Day. Today's image has to be a fun one with the title, "Ha, Ha, Ha". She's bursting with enthusiasm!
Maybe I should have titled this blog post, "hold on to your hat". She's jumping so high, that's exactly what she's having to do. I colored "Ha, Ha, Ha" with Copic markers, then fussy cut her out.
The card was created using my Cricut Explore and the Cricut Design Space software. All papers and the sentiment stamps are from Close To My Heart. The sequins are from Craftin' Desert Divas.
Check out the other new releases, and tons more fun and inspiration in the Facebook group, The East Wind.
I have this blog as a place to share my creative self -- be it card making, music playing, scrapbooking, altered art, home decor, or whatever direction my art takes me. My dogs are always a part of my home life, so they have to be a part of my blog, too.

It's Never Too Late -- GD for Digi Choosday
I'm super excited to be guest designing today for Digi Choosday, part of the Polkadoodles family. I want to thank Anjie, Nikki, and the whole team for this wonderful opportunity!
This week, the theme at Digi Choosday is Embellish It. Since I'm more of a CAS gal, I had to work this a bit. When to stop, when you're adding embellishments? Isn't that the question?
This Polkadoodle's image is called, appropriately, Violin Girl. She is a digital download, available immediately (ah, I love that!)
The designer papers for this card are also from Polkadoodles. They are Trumpet/Music Theme Craft digital download.
I colored Violin Girl with Copic markers. I cut the Center easel card out on my Silhouette, and mounted the Trumpet/Music theme papers to the card base. The image is cut out with a Lawn Fawn stitched circle cutting die, and a Lifestyle Crafts circle die.
The "Never too late" sentiment on this card, also from Polkadoodles, is a freebie. Since I returned to playing the violin after quitting in the 7th grade, waiting over 25 years to start again, this quote seemed perfect for my card.
The roses on this card are from Wild Orchid Crafts, purchased through Really Reasonable Ribbon. The twine is from Timeless Twine.
I hope you join us this week at Digi Choosday for the 'Embellish It' challenge. There's also a discount code good for 24 hours on Polkadoodle products, so take advantage and do some shopping! There's also great prizes to be won! I'll be back next week for another Digi Choosday guest design appearance. I am sooooo excited!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
D.L. Art -- August Linky Party
Sister Act Card Challenge -- ATG
Word Art Wednesday -- ATG
Creatalicious Challenges -- more than one fold
Polkadoodles -- More than one fold

Take an Opportunity to Share Time -- for Path of Positivity
It's the first Monday of the month, which means it's the start of a new challenge at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog. This month's theme is 'Opportunity'.
After thinking about this theme, and how I most appreciate using opportunities to share of myself, it seems I'm usually lacking in time to do what I'd really like to do. Work gets in the way. Family and commitments get in the way. Yes, even crafting gets in the way. Time is a gift, an opportunity to share it how ever we choose. Choose wisely!
This digital image and sentiment are from DeeDee's Digis
I used Time With You
I used the pre-printed image, printing it twice, adding the sentiment to the bottom layer. I fussy cut one layer, using foam tape to add dimension.
The designer papers are from Lisa Decosse, of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. This set of papers is called "Christmas Time", but I thought it worked well for this time-themed card. I cut the card base out on my Cricut, and wrapped some Timeless Twine around it.
When you think of the word 'opportunity', what comes to mind for you? Design a project around those thoughts, and link up this month at Path of Positivity. We've got great sponsors, and I'd love to see what you make!

U Rock & Hugs - for Not Just Cards
It's the first Monday of the month, which means it's time for a new (always) anything goes challenge at Not Just Cards. I have two projects to share with you today.

Papers are from Close To My Heart. Crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.
My second project is a card, using a digi from a new artist, Julia Spiri. I am in love with her style!
This is 'Girl on a Turtle'.
I colored 'Girl on a Turtle' with Copic markers, then used a Spellbinders die to cut her out. I cut the card base out on my Cricut. Papers and sentiment are from Close To My Heart. The lace and crinkle ribbon are from 3 Girl JAM.

It's a Dog's Life -- for QKR Stampede
Today is my final project for QKR Stampede Challenge blog. I've been on the team for a year now, and it's time for a break. However, I will miss the delightfully quirky images and the wonderful bunch of ladies I've grown to enjoy so much! This week's challenge this is 'Washi tape'. Love the stuff!
This super fun image, from QKR Stampede, of course, is "Walking the Dog"(digi17102). The sentiment, also from QKR Stampede, is "Dog's Life"(digi14619). I colored 'Walking the Dog' with Copic markers. I've had the Washi tape for so long, I don't remember the brand name. The Dog designer paper is digital, and is from Pixel Scrapper.
Come join us this week at QKR Stampede. Use a bit of your Washi tape, and enter it in the challenge!

Fireflies in a Jar -- for 3 Girl JAM & WINNERS!
I have 2 winners to tell you about today. I recently participated in the Digis for Debbie blog hop to raise funds to help a sister in need pay for medical expenses. I said I'd reward a $15 gift certificate to the Fresh Brewed Designs Store, and today is the day to pick the winner. I also promised blog candy when my original blog was hacked and I had to start a new one. I said I'd give it away when I got to 50 followers. Well, I have 46 followers on the new blog, but now I'm back to my original blog, but still want to award the candy. So, 2 lucky winners today!
$15 FBD Gift certificate (chosen by Random.org) -- Rhonda Zmikly of Bumblebee Creations!
Blog candy (6x6 paper pad, Close To My Heart stamp set, Unity Stamp Company grab bag, embossing folder, 3 Girl JAM ribbon, Timeless Twine, and MORE!) WINNER (again, chosen by random.org from the 46 followers of my new blog) -- Chriss America Real!
I'm posting today for 3 Girl JAM. It seems that I can always find another use for 3 Girl JAM products. The possibilities are truly endless! Today, my favorite ribbon is mimicking a rusty canning lid.
Summer and fireflies go hand-in-hand for me. Seeing fireflies makes me happy! When I was young, my grandma wouldn't let us go barefoot until we had seen a firefly, so we looked diligently for them. She knew they didn't come out until the hot summer nights. Then, we'd run around with youthful abandon and try to catch them in a jar. They were magical! (Until morning, anyway, when they were just another flying insect).
This card is a cutting file from the Silhouette Design Store. The tag is a die from Paper Wishes. The sentiment is a Joy's Life "Pun in the Sun" stamp. Best of all, though, is that new crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM! This is Barn Door from the *new* Rustic Country Bundle.
There's only a day left to get another new bundle at a discount. The Summer Harvest Bundle is only $1 if you use coupon code JULY, along with your purchase. Or, purchase anything you like, use coupon code JO10, and save 10% on everything! All the time!
