Hello Friends With Flair and cropchocolate.com peeps! I'm celebrating another year of life, and want to share with you. I have blog candy to give away! To be eligible to win, please follow my blog and leave a comment at the end of this post. Don't forget to tell me how to get in touch with you. I'm hoping to increase my followers. I'm not too far from 50 (followers, that is. I've already hit the big 5-0 a couple years back). If I get to 75, I will give away two prize packages. And, if my scrappy friends exceed my expectations, more prizes can certainly be found in my scrappy space. Here's what one of them looks like:
I gathered this together very quickly before I left for work this morning. The collection may grow before I mail it out. After all, I want the winner to be surprised! I will use random.org on Monday, July 9 to pick the winner(s).
Now, for what I've been working on. It was very hot here on July 4. My DH and I got up at 5am, were kayaking by 7am, and were back home by 9. I spent the rest of the day scrapping until dusk, when we went to the fireworks display. I made 2 layouts and 3 cards during my time in my scraproom. The 2 layouts were for challenges on cropchocolate.com's "those left behind blog hop". One challenge is: mom2tayandbay – www.talesoftayandbay.blogspot.comLAYOUT WITH A DESTINATION/TRAVEL THEME. I traveled to see my BFF last week, spending 3 days with her. My 2 Golden Retrievers and I went on a road trip, driving 3 hours from Chetek, WI to Wisconsin Rapids. Here's the layout I did about that adventure:
I used Basic Grey Wander papers throught the layout, including cardstock and journaling spot. The wood alphas are by Pink Paislee and Studio Calico. Unity stamp sets used were: May 2012 kit of the month, July 2012 kit of the month, June 2012 SMAK,& 3/10 KOTM, You + Me = Happy (UK-399A), and Forever Friends (Phyllis Harris PH-889A. I also used a Creative Memories heart punch, a Tim and Beck alphabet, and some ribbon from my stash. Tim Holtz distress inks were used throughout.
The second layout is my favorite picture from our adventure across the state. My 11 year old dog, Molly, loved being at Sheri's because she can do whatever she wants -- including sleeping on the bed. Here's a picture I snapped when I found her upstairs, snoozing on the bed after a swim in the local lake.
And a close up of my beautiful girl.
This layout used Echo Park Sweet Day paper -- both 12x12 and 6x6. The wooden buttons are Close To My Heart. Wood veneer houses are from Studio Calico. Unity stamp sets used are: Unity Alphabet (A0-001), You Are Cute (IB-CH-321), On the Beach (CH-992A), More Blessed to Give (PH-936A). Again, TH distress ink was used. I will enter it in the challenge: raebae – http://kitchentablescrapper.blogspot.com/MAKE A PROJECT CELEBRATING EVERY DAY MOMENTS (NOT CELEBRATIONS THAT OCCUR EACH YEAR)
I know this post is getting really long, but I have 3 more cards to share with you, all of them thank you cards. One of my volunteers at work hand quilted a table runner for me for my birthday, so one card is for her. The other 2 are for some great people that helped me repair some damage to my kayak.
This card used Authentique Delightful 6x6 paper, Unity's Happy Everything stamp set (UK480A), CTMH ribbon, and a button from my stash.I colored the vase and flowers with Copic markers. I'm trying to figure out the shading thing! (see vase)
The two kayak cards don't have a lot of Unity, but the 'Thanks' sentiment is from a Unity grab bag.
Remember, follow my blog, if you don't already, leave me some love and a way to contact you, and I'll draw for some winners on Monday, July 9. Woohoo! I love that it's Friday! Especially when it falls on my BIRTHDAY!

ReplyDelete75th follower here! I appreciated seeing the ways you used stamps on your layouts. I've gotten away from scrapping and never used stamps on my layouts. Now I've collected so many stamps, I really should marry the two hobbies and you've given me some good ideas. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday BFF! Always love the GOLDEN pages and the detailed cards. Luker now joining in the fun. I might just get the hang of this yet. Goldens Rule!! :-) Love the kayak stamp too.
