Cold Hands, Warm Heart -- for Timeless Twine

Happy Monday, my blog friends.  The cold just keeps on coming here in NW Wisconsin.  It's -20 here this morning, warming all the way up to -15.  And the wind makes it feel like -40.  It's a perfect day to stay indoors and drink hot tea, coffee, or whatever the hot beverage of your choice is.
You might even want to try this cute pocket card to warm you up...

The theme this month on the Timeless Twine blog is "new".  This is a new card style for me, having never tried one of these pocket cards before. I used a pattern from My Scrap Chick, cutting out all the different parts on my Silhouette.  Here's the pocket, pulled out.

I used Krazy for Kraft Timeless Twine on the handle (don't want to get burned, LOL) and added a cute bow with it, too.
Stamp, papers, and bling are from Close To My Heart.

One of my try outs projects for Timeless Twine seems to fit today's theme very well, so I'm including it in this post:

It's good advice for a day of record-breaking cold, don't you think?

Last Thursday and Friday's blog posts had some pictures from the ice caves we visited mid-January in Northern Wisconsin.  I promised some  more pictures today.  Here they are:
We weren't the only ones that trekked 2 miles across the ice to reach the caves.  Lots of people were there that day.

Ice, ice, everywhere, ice.

Shaun's on one side of a cave, I'm on the other.

Shaun walked way out on the ice.  He loves doing that every year we visit.

Can you see my husband in this last picture?

I think I'm going to write a message to my BFF on this pocket card about how cold it is here! She'll understand!
I'm entering the pocket card in the following challenges:
Craftin' Desert Divas -- Shaped Cards
Just B Creative Crazy -- January Linky Party
D.L. Art -- Thankful Thursday Linky Party

  12. You are just amazing me with these photos, Julie. I have to show DH today since he's off work. We are about to get 4 inches of snow so everything is shut down! Us people on the East Coast don't play when it comes to snow! We'd never survive up there with you! As for your warm and cozy projects..adorable as always. Your papers for that pocket card are so pretty…great job for your first time trying that style! I remember your mitten card too…so sweet! Have a warm day my friend. xx
