I love Fridays. I love Unity's Friends With Flair. I have some much fun checking out everyone's blogs for inspiration. How can there be so much talent and so much inspiration with this group of stampers?
I've been needing quite a few thank you cards lately. Since my father died several weeks ago, I've had such an out-pouring of thoughtful gestures that I need to thank people for. Here are a couple I made this week:
Both cards use the Unity Stamp set, Insightful Meadows. The sentiment is from On Vintage Wings, also from Unity Stamp Company. I also planned on mailing both cards, so wanted to keep them flat. This first one, I used two similar colors of ink, and did some second generation stamping.
On the second card, I used some Marvy Uchida stamp markers that I've had for several years and had never used. Now I'm wondering why I haven't. I loved them and the watercolor look I got with them.
I definitely have to get those markers out more often. Thanks for looking at my 2 CAS cards. Have a great weekend!
I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Sweet Stamps Monthly Challenge -- using markers on stamps
These turned out very pretty! I like CAS, but have a hard time leaving my cards alone!
ReplyDeleteLovely cards my friend. I'm sure that whoever received these will cherish them! I hope your bad days are less and less as time passes! Have a wonderful weekend.

ReplyDeleteLovely one layer designs, Julie. I have a huge collection of Marvy markers that don't get used. Your water color technique is beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry for the loss of your father. I lost my dad last June. It is nice when people reach out to comfort you and I am sure they do not expect a thank you, but they will be so touched to receive these beauties. They are both gorgeous. Thanks for sharing and I wish you well.
