Since this is a National Repeat Day Hop, I made two projects, both with a common theme.
I used the Get Inky Stamps Buzzing Bees set on both these cards.
My husband thinks the bee looks like he's coming out of the clouds. One of my favorite techniques for making a stamp look like it has movement is to this technique -- stamping repeatedly. Since it's a repeat hop, I had to use this technique. I used alcohol inks and an air can to create the background on glossy cardstock.
This second card also uses the same stamp set, alcohol inks, and stamping technique:
Again, with repeated stamping, the bee looks like it's flying across the page. I blotted different alcohol inks on this background. They were softer colors and the blotting made for a different effect. The chipboard is from my friend DeeDee. You can find it here at UmWow Studio. You want this stuff! It is so much fun! I also used another of my favorite products, Trendy Twine.
And of course we have blog candy! To be eligible to win, you must:

Just Hooping by to say Hi!!!! Both of the designs are very creative and the technique is inspiring. I am your newest follower.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Julie! I love these alcohol inked cards! The backgrounds are beautiful and the repeat bees are brilliant! I hope that your leg is healing well. I have been meaning to send you a card, but I am still waiting for my increase in thyroid meds to kick in, so my mojo is off. Plus, my mil fell and was in the hospital this week. She is home now, but has broken wrist, badly bruised shin, stitches on her forehead and she doesn't remember why. I know you understand what we are dealing with because of where you work.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you and your new DT's :)
These alcohol inked cards are so neat, I like both colors but the bright one makes me happy! I also like how you did the repeat technique. Love these cards, Julie!
