Let's Party -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

Here we are!  It's February, the month of love.  I've been making Valentine's Cards and have most of them that I need done.

It's February, and that means there is a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group.  The challenge starts today, February first, and goes all month.  The theme this month is Celebrations.  There are many, many images in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop that would work for this theme.  Treat yourself to something new, color it up, and join our challenge!

I used one of the images in the Dogs in Shades set to create this:

I love that adorable pooch!  And, as you can see, it doesn't take much to color her up. I colored her with Copic markers.  The sentiment is computer generated.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Muddy Paws papers.

I hope you can join us this month for the Celebrations challenge at ADU Facebook group.  I'd love to see what you create!

Pretty as a Picture --for All Dressed Up Stamps

Welcome to 2023!  I'm hoping for a great year of crafting, among other things. My husband retired on Dec. 30.  We'll have to adjust to each other being home all the time.  I'll enjoy having him around, as long as he stays out of my craft room!

January 1 -- that means it's time for a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group. Each month, there is a theme, and an All Dressed Up Stamps image must be used. For the month of January, the theme is "Make it Cute".  I think all of Wendy Burns' images are adorable, so this is an easy challenge!

I colored up the very cute Pretty as a Picture image and created this card:

Pretty as a Picture is colored with Copic markers.  The embellishments, sentiment, and paint tube background paper are by Spellbinders.

I hope you can join us this month for our "Make it Cute" challenge.  It will run all month, and you have chance to win some adorable images of your choosing!  I hope to see your project!

Winter Pups-- a New Release for All Dressed Up Stamps

Hello, my craft friends!  It's almost Christmas.  Are you ready?

Today the Dressy Girls are featuring this month's new releases at All Dressed Up Stamps.  You'll find inspiration both in the ADU Facebook Group, and on the challenge blog

As you may know, or suspect from the name of my blog, I am a huge dog lover.  When Wendy released Winter Pups, I was absolutely thrilled, and knew I had to create with it.

Here's my interpretation of Winter Pups:

I colored Winter Pups with Copic markers.  It was so fun to color! Then I die cut the image with a Spellbinders dotted rectangle die.  The papers are from Crafter's Companion. The snowflake embellishments are from Hero Arts.

I hope you check out the rest of the inspiration, and don't forget that All Dressed Up Stamps has 2 challenges each month.  I'd love to see what you create!

It's Snowing -- a new challenge at All Dressed Up Stamps

Happy December, crafty friends!  Here we go -- the busiest month of the year.  Do you have your Christmas cards done?  I'm going to send mine out the next few days.

December -- that means there is a new challenge starting in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group.  The theme for this month is 'Clean & Simple'.  Plus, you must use an All Dressed Up Stamps image.

Is CAS easy for you, or a challenge?  I think most of the cards I make are CAS, since I like to make the image front and center.  But then, when it's a CAS challenge, I am unsure of the definition and am never sure if the card I made actually fits the theme or not.  Such insecurity!

Here's my interpretation of a CAS card using the darling image, It's Snowing

I kept it simple, just backing the image with a snowflake paper (from Crafter's Companion), colored yardstick, and an inked 6x6 card base.

I colored It's Snowing with Copic markers, adding in a few snowdrifts.  I love to use blue violet colors when coloring snow.  Living in Wisconsin, I have plenty of time to observe snow and it's shadows every winter.  In fact, we've had snow on the ground for a couple weeks now.

I used dies from Queen & Company to cut out the image and the backing layers. The snowflake sequins are by Hero Arts. I heat embossed the Warm Wishes sentiment -- also by Hero Arts.

I hope you find time to join us this month for our Clean & Simple challenge at All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group. I'd love to see your interpretation of CAS!

Cafe -- an All Dressed Up Stamps New Release

Hey, hey, crafty friends! It's new release day at All Dressed Up Stamps!  There are 3 new releases.  I was fortunate enough to be able to play with Cafe. It's the perfect image for Fall & Winter (or dog lovers).

Here's what I created with Cafe

I colored Cafe with Copic markers.  I realized I had sized her to perfectly fit on a mini slimline card, so that's what I created.  There's a bit of ink blending on the card base, then a piece of snowflake paper from AMB Illustrations.  I used a couple stitched mini slimline dies from Queen & Company.  The sentiment is a stamp from Hero Arts.  I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I added some drip drops from Taylored Expressions to finish off the card.

Check out the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group, and the All Dressed Up Stamps Challenge blog for more great New Release inspiration!

Christmas Deer -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

Hello friends, and welcome to November!   My blog has been very quiet for several months.  I fractured my knee in July, and for 3 months I couldn't negotiate the stairs to make it to my craft room.  But, I can walk again, and it is wonderful!

Nov. 1, and it's time for a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group. The theme this month is Season's Greetings.  You have the entire month of November to get a project made and placed in the folder in the ADU Facebook Group. Wendy -- artist and owner of ADU -- has many wonderful Christmas images in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop.  Treat yourself to an image, create something with it, and join us!

I absolutely love the Christmas Deer digital image, so I chose to create with it. I think it's those soulful eyes!  Here is the card I made:

I colored Christmas Deer with Copic markers.  The background paper is from Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment is from Gina K Designs, and the foliage die cuts are from Spellbinders.  I finished the card with some sticky backed pearls from Close To My Heart.

'Tis the season to finish our Christmas cards!  Get something created and join us in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook challenge! I'd love to see what you create!

Sea You Soon -- For Dies R Us Challenges

August 1 --the months keep flying by!  August 1 means there is a new challenge starting on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  This month, the theme is Summer.  Yea, that's a fun theme! Make sure to use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store, follow the theme, and you're all set!

I love lighthouses, and kayaking to my favorite ones in the Apostle Islands.  When I think of summer, I think of kayaking trips on Lake Superior.  Those were my thought when I created this card:

The lighthouse scene die is from Hero Arts.  It's called Looking Glass Lighthouse. I colored it with Copic markers. I also used the Hero Arts Looking Glass Circle & Square Frames die. The sentiment is from the Hero Arts  Seas the Day clear stamp set.  I cut the sentiment out with Pink & Main Large Sentiment Strip Dies. The card is finished off with some Unicorn Pearls -- also from Pink & Main.

It's been nearly a month since I fractured my knee.  I had this card made before it happened.  I This will be my last post until I'm allowed to put weight on my knee.  I can't navigate stairs, and my craft room is in the basement.  It's looking like a couple more months of being in a wheelchair, and I'll hopefully be ready to walk again!

I hope you can join us this month for the Anything Goes Challenges. Enjoy the summer!
